1st time posting!!!!! I need a good hook that will help with gullet hook removal. I saw the diagrams for hook removal, but I want to be as easy on the fish as possible. I am getting better at seeing and feeling the bites, but still getting a few deep hooked.

WELCOME TO THE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, i would say to just pay attention to the line. What happens when you gullet hook a bass is that the fish takes your lure, ahs you dont feel the strike, be it from slack in your line or whatever. The fish has the time to swallow the worm, and by the time you realize that you have a fish, its too late. i would just pay attention closer. This is not an insult to demining to you. No hook can help that 9IN MY OPINION)

Welcome again! and tight lines!

Megastrike is correct.

You have to watch your line when fishing Senkos or finesse worms.

When the line starts to move count 1-one thousand; 2-one thousand; 3-one thousand; and then set the hook HARD.

See where the hook is placed in the fish's mouth.  If it is deep then go to 2-one thousand.  If jus hanging onto the lip, go to 3-one thousand.

Keep line as tight as possible and don't take your eyes off the line.

I use weedless hooks since I throw my Senkos and finesse worms into cover and structure and grass and weeds, etc.

I also will use a #1 gold hook on my wacky rig, as I did today.

Have fun.  ;)
