Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted January 18, 2011 Super User Posted January 18, 2011 My dog finally passed on. She was a good tough old girl. Going to miss her immensely. My kids aren't exactly taking this one well at all right now. Hopefully that'll pass soon. Gonna miss you, Mandy. I bet theres lots of biscuits for you up there in Heaven. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 18, 2011 Super User Posted January 18, 2011 Balls, man. That sucks. Sorry. Quote
Super User RoLo Posted January 18, 2011 Super User Posted January 18, 2011 You and your family certainly have my sympathy, losing a treasured pet is losing a good friend. I realize that it's too soon to think about this now, but one of the best painkillers I've found is a replacement pet. Roger Quote
Super User grimlin Posted January 18, 2011 Super User Posted January 18, 2011 Sorry for your family's lost. :'( Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted January 18, 2011 Super User Posted January 18, 2011 Im so sorry pal. I know exactly what you're feeling. Just remember, all dogs go to heaven. Quote
Hamby Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Feel for ya. Lost a dog not too long ago. She definitely wasn't the best of dogs, but she was MY little PITA. Know what i mean? The local petsmart had a shelter in the next weekend. We were in there for 5 minutes before we were in a room signing papers. Found a wonderful dog with the same name. It was like the last dog had picked another for us. Quote
CanalStalkin Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUNJjIwlHk8&feature=youtube_gdata_player My friend posted this when he lost his dog. Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 18, 2011 Super User Posted January 18, 2011 So sorry to hear the news. Condolences to you and the family. Dogs are an intricate part of a family and losing one is like losing a close family member. I have been through it two times and dread losing my grand dog one day. Hope you get another puppy, soon. :'( Quote
Uncle Leo Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Sorry to hear that Eric, they really find a place in your heart. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted January 18, 2011 Super User Posted January 18, 2011 Condolences man. It's one of the toughest things in life. Most dogs live to bring joy into our lives. They don't care if your a tycoon or a bum, they will remain loyal. The hardest part is when they look to you for help, and there is nothing you can do other than to grant them the peace of death. Make no mistake, as difficult as it may be, it is a great gift when their joy of life is gone. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted January 18, 2011 Super User Posted January 18, 2011 Sorry for your family's loss. Rolo hit it on the nose with a new puppie helping you get better. Quote

tholmes Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I'm sorry for your loss, Eric. There's nothing like the unconditional love of a dog. Tom Quote
B-Dozer Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Sorry to hear of your loss. I have had many dogs in my life, been involved in rescue for many years and have fostered quit a few. Still breaks my heart when it happens. Few joys in life can match the friendship of a dog. You will find a "best friend for life" when the time is right. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted January 18, 2011 Super User Posted January 18, 2011 So Sorry for your loss of your buddy. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted January 18, 2011 Super User Posted January 18, 2011 Don't be sad because she's gone. Be glad because she was, and all the wonderful times you spent with her. Losing a dog is very tough, I know, i've lost plenty. But she's up there and she's happy, getting fat on biscuits and bones, and playing to her hearts content with all the other dogs. Like others have said, replacement puppies help, atleast they do for me. Quote
