Super User 5bass Posted January 15, 2011 Super User Posted January 15, 2011 I heard this earlier and thought it was interesting at how similar these 2 teams are. Great defenses, decent offenses. Over the past 4 Steelers/Ravens games, in which they split 2-2, each team has: -Scored 67 points -Scored 7 TD's -Kicked 6 FG's That's why this is the best matchup of the weekend. Quote
soccplayer07 Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 great match up indeed...but I'm still looking forward to N.E. vs. Jets!!! Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 15, 2011 Super User Posted January 15, 2011 Will be a fun game to watch. Wonder if it will boil down to which QB gets "hot" and can move the football. Are we looking at overtime??? Quote
NateFollmer Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 It's going to be close. I think the Ravens might have the edge with Heap back. It was close last game without him... Quote
JigMe Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 I'm sorry steelers, end of first quarter. If Ben keeps up, might as well go watch Ice fishing. Haha Quote
Super User 5bass Posted January 15, 2011 Author Super User Posted January 15, 2011 That fumble for a Ravens TD was huge and now the Steelers are out of challenges for the rest of the game. Cool. GO RAVENS!! Quote
NateFollmer Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Hey where were all you guys when I said I liked the ravens and took some guff? Get off my bandwagon! Go ravens! Quote
JigMe Posted January 15, 2011 Posted January 15, 2011 Haha. Hey, I was cheering for ravens all the way. Quote

MyKeyBe Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Go Steelers!!! ;D That was a good game. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted January 16, 2011 BassResource.com Administrator Posted January 16, 2011 Flacco chocked. And why they didn't pull Rice after the 1st quarter will forever be a mystery. He was obviously too sick to play. A coaching error if I ever saw one. And finally, TJ dropping a perfect pass at the end of the game is a prime example of why the 'Hawks got rid of him; and why he'll never be nothing more than a second-rate receiver despite what his over-inflated ego tells him. I wouldn't be struttin' around PA fans. Stealers didn't win this one so much as the Ravens lost it. They don't stand a chance next week. Quote

Still bitter huh? We gave away the first half of the game. Other than our first drive we looked horrible in the first half. Thank "Franco Harris" Thomlinson lit a fire under our butts during halftime. Quote
JigMe Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I agree Glen. Offense did not do anything except one touch down and a field goal, very sad game for the ravens. Quote

Seriously, what will it take for you to be quiet? : If it's not the refs, it's the other team or some act of God that the Steelers win. Get over yourself and hope your team doesn't get a mudhole stomped into it tomorrow... Quote
Scorcher214 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Baltimore was definitley slipping today. But i am more of a steelers fan so I'm happy. It was a great game all the way to the last minute! I think they have a chance of going all the way. Great defense and a pretty good offense. Don't be sad Glenn Quote

The regular-season-losing-record Seahawks still have to win tomorrow to have a next week. By they way, I heard a story of a kid in Seattle who wore a Steeler's jersey to school when it was Seahawk appreciation day. They made the poor kid leave school, because he wouldn't change out of his Steeler's jersey. Actually, they should have just given the kid his diploma, because he appears to be the smartest kid in the school. Quote
CAdeltaLipRipper Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Hahaha the steelers squeaked by like they do in every game they play Quote

JigMe Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Win is a win. But there is a convincing way to win, for example, ravens vs. Chief. Quote

JigMe Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 With the help from the officials, and turned the game into Wcw trying to everybody down. But hey, Ben is good. I'll give him that, our QB should learn a thing or two from Ben. Quote
