Most of the decoys I have are getting old, and I think I'll invest some of my income tax refund into a new spread. I was planning to get some Herter's decoys, but I was told that they went under. Can anyone recommend a good looking decoy that will last for many years? I'm looking for something that's not going to leak or lose its paint after being used a couple of times. G&H maybe?

BPS Red Head decoys work pretty well. The magnum mallards hold up pretty well.

G&H will hold up. I've read where some people have complained about the newer ones not holding the paint as well as their older models.

I have some of the new flambeau storm fronts and GHG.  The flambeau's look really good, however the paint isn't holding up really good.  I'll have to repaint them sometime.  The GHG I have are the gadwall, widgeon, and pintail.  All have kept their paint and look great.

I have some of their hot buys, which I wouldn't recommend unless you are trying to add numbers.  That's the only reason I have them.  The paint on them has held up decent, but they are really small.

This looks like a decent price.  Compared to GHG oversize decoys they would come out about the same.

G&H no doubt. they hold paint and I have never had issue with any, and I own around 10 doz G&H. they may not be as artistic as some of the other brands but the ducks don't care usually its the hunter that does.

I don't know about Red Head ducks, but their goose decoys are awful. The paint chips when you take them out of the box.

I have GHG. They're amazing. The hotbuy dekes are wicked cheap too.

I buy Flambau exclusively. I get them on sale every year at $14.99 a dozen and they seem to hold up pretty well. I have 13 blinds to decoy each year and 5 of em have to have 300+ decoys so cheap is good. I still have some Flambaues from 6 years ago that I use. By the way, all my lake decoys stay on the water all season and they still last 4-6 years so they are fairly durable. My pothole decoys are picked up after every hunt, so they last until I just feel like buying new ones. :D
