Super User burleytog Posted January 11, 2011 Author Super User Posted January 11, 2011 You gonna install a seat belt on the toilet? No, I'll be doing the process while working. Quote

Super User Micro Posted January 11, 2011 Super User Posted January 11, 2011 Man, you can pop a colostomy bag with all that laxative. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted January 11, 2011 Author Super User Posted January 11, 2011 You girls want photos of the procedure? Might try to talk the doc into snapping a few with my phone. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted January 11, 2011 Super User Posted January 11, 2011 You girls want photos of the procedure? Might try to talk the doc into snapping a few with my phone. No thanks, I've got my own. Quote

Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 11, 2011 Super User Posted January 11, 2011 Had my colonoscopy this past Wednesday, my prep was HALFLYTELY, which is drinking about 10oz of solution every 10 minutes over about a 90 minute period. Glad to report no cancer, no polyps. The hardest part is the prep and not being able to eat the day before and up to the time of the procedure. It really is no big deal and I felt terrific after the anesthetic, every muscle in my body totally relaxed. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted January 11, 2011 Super User Posted January 11, 2011 Now that's a party. Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted January 11, 2011 Super User Posted January 11, 2011 If it hasn't been said before Burley, I hope everything comes out okay, it certainly seems that you have all the tools you'll need! Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 11, 2011 Super User Posted January 11, 2011 This is why I prefer endo's. lol Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted January 11, 2011 Super User Posted January 11, 2011 You girls want photos of the procedure? Might try to talk the doc into snapping a few with my phone. No thanks, I've got my own. Unfortunately, so do i. Good luck B. Quote
frogtog Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Burley I hate to tell you this but a 1/2oz of Castor Oil will get you the same results. ;D Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted January 11, 2011 Super User Posted January 11, 2011 Burley I hate to tell you this but a 1/2oz of Castor Oil will get you the same results. ;D Only appears to do the job, in reality it doesn't clean you out enough for an exam. My Doctor wouldn't let me use magnesium citrate, felt it wasn't thorough, $1 something over the counter compared to a script that was around $50.00 Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 11, 2011 Super User Posted January 11, 2011 I would take the colon prep over some of the other stuff I have had done. When they sliced me open a couple years ago I was on a liquid diet for about 5 days, that really sucked. Quote
Milton Waddams Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Go all out and get the enema too. Quote
jdw174 Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Hope that works better for you than it did for me. I ended up making a return trip a week later after going thru a totally different "cleansing" process. Those little bottles you drink and the pills never even bothered me. Ended up with the old gallon jug which I had to drink in about 8 hours. Now THAT worked ;D Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted January 12, 2011 Super User Posted January 12, 2011 This is why I prefer endo's. lol Having been through both, I beg to disagree. Can't tell you why, but after each of two endos, I was doubled up on the bed until I passed the air that remained. And yes, he did vent it as he withdrew the scope each time. Colonoscopy, no after effects other than that from the versid, propolol or whatever med they use to send you to la la land. Quote
