Super User bilgerat Posted January 9, 2011 Super User Posted January 9, 2011 You may have given them some of this info when you registered a product for warranty coverage. Often there's a section in the registration section that asks, among other things, income bracket ie; $30,000-$49,000 $49,000-$60,000 $60,000-$79,000 etc. This info is NOT required for warranty coverage. All they need is your name, address and phone #. Same thing for when the cashier or the debit card machine asks for your zip code. Just give them the wrong one. It's not a quiz, it's strictly for marketing. Quote
Super User Micro Posted January 9, 2011 Super User Posted January 9, 2011 You can delete it, but the site is correct, it's all public information. Even if that site didn't exist, it's still out there. But I am curious why they say my property cost over $1,000,000. I paid under $200K for it ;D. Quote

Super User Jigfishn10 Posted January 10, 2011 Super User Posted January 10, 2011 Thing that gets me is that they want you to whip out your credit card to view information that you don't the public to see. Thankfully I didn't make the cut. Quote
