bocabasser Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 no worries fishing cowgirl! i have been having really good success with the gambler big-ez. i love the scrounger when the bite is tough. i use a fluke (not the super fluke, but the regular fluke) and i fish it on 10-12 pound flouro. slow roll it and the bite is kinda spongy. now for the good stuff. fishing cowgirl, you are the BEST! i am fishing from sun-up til sundown tomorrow and i cannot wait to chuck those dippers (especially the junebug with charteuse tail). bitters bait and tackle sells the best made soft plastics for less. love that place! the greatest gift was the drawing you made. it rocks! that was the icing on the cake. anytime you and your husband are down south, give me a call and i will do my best to put you on some everglades fish. again, thanks for the generous gift. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Quote

MERRY CHRISTMAS! You are very welcome! I had fun drawing it and I've had some luck using that punch skirt on my flipping creature baits. Just making it look different. I bought that and the dippers. I love using the dippers and that Junebug with Chartruese tail rocks! Thank you again and I'll send a photo of the first fish I catch with the scrounger and the other goodies you sent. My husband and I are hoping to get some fishing in your way and we will give you a shout when we get it together. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! Quote

Nibbles Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Well, my camera's broken and I can't find the data cable to my phone or a microSD adapter, so I guess pictures are outta the question for me as well. Still, here's what I got from Bird Dog: 2pk Mattlures 4.5" Mattshad, Fast Sink, a very nice NorthStar Custom Baits spinnerbait, and a couple of jigs from them as well. Never thrown the shads before so it'll be a learning experience for me, but I throw NorthStar stuff all the time so the jigs and spinnerbait will be put to good use for sure! @Grimlin, if your camera ain't broken, you can take pictures, pop out the SD card, and stick that directly in your computer. Most laptops and PCs made in the last couple of years have a slot for them. Edit: Correction - I got TWO spinnerbaits. Don't know how I missed seeing the second one. Quote

Nibbles Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 You will be looking for a thin slot about 3/4"-1" wide and about 1.5-2 millimeters tall. The SD card should slide right in, and your computer should recognize it and a prompt should pop up asking what you want to do with it (open folders, view pictures, etc) a few seconds after. Quote

Super User Dan: Posted January 9, 2011 Super User Posted January 9, 2011 I vote for a couple amendments to the rules next year. 1) Participants must have been board members for X amount of time. 2) Participants must be at least 18 years old. Obviously whoever ends up organizing it will decide the rules but I have decided that I will not be participating until these changes are made. Bah humbug. Quote
