Super User BASSclary Posted December 29, 2010 Super User Posted December 29, 2010 A good simple dip: Ranch and Buffalo Sauce. My ratio is about 1 Ranch : 3-4 Buffalo. than a little cornstarch to thicken it up a bit. Its pretty good, only two ingredients and just killer to dip pretzel sticks in. 8-) Im eating it as I type NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM Quote
bigfruits Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 ive had that dip before. on chicken wings instead of pretzels though. Quote

Super User grimlin Posted December 30, 2010 Super User Posted December 30, 2010 Jimmy Dean Spicy Sausage Rotel Chiles Cream Cheese Cook meat, combine all in a crockpot what do you dip with it? Sounds good.. I'm looking for a good dip for the upcoming Bowl games for New Year's. Since the wife has to work that's all I'll be doing. Pigging out on snacks...lol Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 30, 2010 Super User Posted December 30, 2010 Southerners....commenting on "Buffalo Sauce." LOL. 1 Brick Philly Cream Cheese 1 Tbs Prepared Horseradish (the real stuff, I use Roller's) 6-8 shakes of Worcestershire Sauce (Lea & Perrin's preferred) 1 splash of milk Let the cream cheese sit out for a an hour or two to soften. Mix cream cheese, horseradish, milk, and W-sauce with a two tine carving fork. Test the dip with a potato chip. If it breaks, add another splash of milk, and gently mix. Quote

My mother in law does the same thing, but with Velveeta instead of cream cheese. Quote
fish-fighting-illini Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Kind of a cracker spread more than a dip cream cheese small amount of beer of choice ( enough to make a thinner spread but don't overdo it ) small amount of chedder cheese finely chopped or grated. This came out once as a little side or extra with my 1st ever ( and the best ever ) blackened NY strip steak. The spread was good enough that I asked for the recipe & the chef obliged. Quote
I.rar Posted December 31, 2010 Posted December 31, 2010 Cream cheese melted into salsa this. i would of never tried it if i was told what it was. but man , that stuff is good with tortilla chips. Quote

Nibbles Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 Probably a mild case of food poisoning. Make sure to cook the jimmy dean a little longer next time and wash your hands with soap after handling the sausage but before touching anything else. Cross contamination does happen from time to time. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted January 2, 2011 Author Super User Posted January 2, 2011 My experience being servsafe certified says most likely cross-contamination and or failing to cook food adequately. Quote
Tom H. Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 1 jar of Mayo 1/2 lb Bacon (cooked and crumbled) A diced tomatoe Some shredded lettuce mix it all together and BAM! Cheap, easy, and great with ritz crackers Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted January 4, 2011 Super User Posted January 4, 2011 1 can refried beans equal amount salsa shredded Mexican cheese Combine, heat until cheese melts, nom nom nom.... Tip - most store bought tortilla chips are too salty and flavorless for my liking. Get a big pack of corn tortillas. Use a pizza cutter to cut into 1/4's or 1/8's. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Drop tortillas in. They crisp up quickly, 1 minute tops. Remove from pan, lay in a single layer on paper towels to drain. While they are still hot, season them with whatever you want. Doing this while hot will cause the seasoning to be pulled into the chip. Otherwise most of it falls off. Old Bay is a favorite of mine. Quote
