backwater4 Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Winter Classic was moved from 1:00 to 8pm due to the rain. This will be different. Now I have to wait all day and the 2 games I want to watch are on at the same time, Winter Classic and Rangers. Good game on tonight on NHL Network USA vs. Switzerland in World Juniors. Quote
backwater4 Posted January 1, 2011 Author Posted January 1, 2011 Dont like either team, but like the Penguins less. Go Caps. LETS GO RANGERS! ;D Quote
rondef Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 Go Caps!!! My daughter and future son in-law are already there and have great seats for the game. Quote
Blue Streak Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 My grandson played in the amateur part of that today. Quote
backwater4 Posted January 1, 2011 Author Posted January 1, 2011 Now thats awesome. 8-) Who does he play for? Quote
Blue Streak Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 He plays for Southpointe, it is part of the league in and around Pittsburgh. I can't believe the places they play, they will be in Toronto Canada the middle of the month. I guess they had games for all ages going on there for three days or so. I have not talked to him since he played but I bet they had trouble with the ice it was over 50 degrees. A good day for fishing. Quote
backwater4 Posted January 1, 2011 Author Posted January 1, 2011 Youth hockey is crazy. My son travels up and down the east coast almost every weekend. The weather might really affect the game. Its real sunny here in NY and temps are nice. He must have been real excited, that's a great experience. Hopefully they got some on video for ya. Quote
Blue Streak Posted January 1, 2011 Posted January 1, 2011 It was a neat day for them, live music and food and all sorts of things going on. The ice was real tough to play on. He has played some tournaments in Philadelphia and at Annapolis and somewhere in VA. Maybe these guys have been around each other. By the way the kids got so hot they could hardly breathe. Quote
Blue Streak Posted January 2, 2011 Posted January 2, 2011 It sure wasn't good weather for a hockey game, warm and raining. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted January 2, 2011 Super User Posted January 2, 2011 Did anyone else have a problem with the camera's being so far away at what seemed like bad angles? Anyway, it was good to see the Pens lose. That means the Rangers didnt lose any ground. Quote

As a Flyers fan, I just hate the Pens.... As for the ice, that was the worst ice surface I've ever seen. That had to be hell for all of the players to deal with. Quote
Super User Tin Posted January 2, 2011 Super User Posted January 2, 2011 Meanwhile in Buffalo.... 12 goals plus 5 in the shootout.... at least the Bruins got a point out of it. Quote
