GLoomis711 Posted December 22, 2010 Author Posted December 22, 2010 Complex prog rock would have to be my favorite also, no doubt. And lets just say anything related to Rap is not my cup of tea. Rap= RETARDS ATTEMPTING POETRY. ;D Quote

I'll 100% agree with you.But don't talk crap about the old school rap/hip hop. They would murder your favorite singers on a microphone very quickly. Your only 15 so i wouldn't expect you to know much about the older rap style.Matter of fact I bet these guys could spit words you never even heard of.So they are far retarded from your average spoiled new generation singers. guitarkid Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 I would have to say Punk is my favorite, with social distortion and dropkick murphy's being my favorites. But, most of the time I am not picky. -gk Quote

Nibbles Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 I'm actually fairly surprised no one mentioned Radiohead or Muse. Sure, Muse kind of sold out when they agreed to have one of their songs put on the Twilight soundtrack and when they started sounding more "Pop-y", but some of their older songs are still great. Some more honorable mentions: The Police The Eagles The Killers Eric Clapton Franz Ferdinand Post 2000 Jimmy Eat World Calvin Harris Chromeo Justice Phoenix Passion Pit Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted December 22, 2010 Super User Posted December 22, 2010 Whatever the heck i wanna listen to! Drove this mexican's truck the other day...you know the typical drug dealer looking truck with large chrome rims and no muffler. POS radio didn't work, and all i could find was mexican rap music HA HA! Flip the switch for the subwoofers and i couldn't hear the actual music though. Turned the music off and listened to that Ford V8. On topic....Typically i'm a modern rock kinda guy. But not the crappy punk, alternative stuff on the radio. Country and western is good when i'm feeling it. sounds like the typical idiot teen truck. $500 truck with $5,000 of tires/wheels/sound system. Quote

jdw174 Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Oldies but Goodies from the 60s and 70s. After that it is all noise. I agree, but I'll stretch that to include most of the 80's. Strange, but the older I get the less I want to listen to a lot of what I thought was great (60's) and include more of the 80's music. : Quote
Stringjam Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 The older I get the less I want to hear the same old music from the 60s and 70s. If I never hear a Led Zeppelin or Who song again I think it'll be just great with me. Of course, that comes from working on construction sites for the past 6 years, and that's ALL the radio ever plays. Those guys freak out and crap a brick if you dare play something that isn't "classic rock." : Quote

Super User fourbizz Posted December 24, 2010 Super User Posted December 24, 2010 I too struggle with the jobsite radio. I love heavy metal music. My boss likes to listen to light jazz, do-***, and christmas music. The classic rock station is the compromise, and all I have listened to for 7 years. Better than light jazz or christmas music I guess. Quote
