trevor Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Well, who will actually win it, and why? Quote
senko_77 Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 There are a lot of really good teams in the NHL this year. I think that Vancouver, Washington, and San Jose have the deepest teams and if they are running on all cylinders, I think one of them can take it. Besides, all three of them are due for a cup. As far as who I wanna win, then it's a toss up between Atlanta and Boston. Been a Bruins fan my whole life but man, Atlanta is finally getting fun to watch. I've dealt with their awfulness for way to long. Quote
Captain Obvious Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Ryan have you looked who leading San Joses divison. That would be the Stars. Not saying their going to win it but they have a better chance than the choke in the playoffs Sharks. I think the Pens are going to do this year. Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted December 16, 2010 Super User Posted December 16, 2010 Like every other year, it will boil down to which goalie gets hot. But my bet is that the octopus will rule again! Go Wings!!! Quote
Super User Tin Posted December 16, 2010 Super User Posted December 16, 2010 As much as I hate to say it.... Philly or the Pens. Philly because they are just such a well rounded team and the Pens because of their scoring potential, Crosby and Malkin could be the new Mario and Jagr. If the Bruins goaltending keeps up and all their lines are productive, they could be the sleeper team. As for out west, the Redwing's are always a safe bet but the Canuck's are in the top 10 in just about every important offensive and defensive category. Quote
Skunked in DR Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 Like every other year, it will boil down to which goalie gets hot. This. Sadly, I know it won't be my Leafs Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted December 17, 2010 Super User Posted December 17, 2010 Gotta go with my boys...http://www.sportstvjobs.com/sports-jobs-news/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/philadelphia_flyers_logo.jpg But, I have to agree with Tin. Pittsburgh will be a thorn in our side. Boston could be trouble for us. For years it was the Devils that tormented us, not this year. Quote

Yikes there's a lot of good teams. Go Flyers. Quote
NateFollmer Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Pens... I wish the Caps could get one though... I hate not getting Vs. or any of those channels. I dont get to watch live hockey until after mid season! Stupid NBC, show more games! Quote
Super User Sam Posted December 17, 2010 Super User Posted December 17, 2010 Flyers. Because they are lucky. ;D ;D ;D Quote

Watching guys on private lakes pulling huge bass with incessant banjo music in the background will make you want to jab a fork in your eye. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted December 17, 2010 Super User Posted December 17, 2010 I think the Cup will be won by an East team this year. If I had to lay money down on one team right now it would be Philly, as much as I hate to say that. > My Rangers are looking decent this year as well but they seem to be allergic to the playoffs and/or playoff wins. Super User Tin Posted December 17, 2010 Super User Posted December 17, 2010 Scott... Raiders..now Rangers? My favorite Ranger moment was when the Bruins went in the stands and Milbury beat a fan with his own shoe... Quote
Super User 5bass Posted December 17, 2010 Super User Posted December 17, 2010 Scott... Raiders..now Rangers? My favorite Ranger moment was when the Bruins went in the stands and Milbury beat a fan with his own shoe... Yeah Mike, the first year I played youth hockey our uniforms were almost identical to the Rangers uni's and our team name was the Rangers. It stuck and I've been stuck with them for a LOOOOONG time. ;D Where's Messier when you need him? I'm glad to see them with a good coach. Tortorella played here in town back in the late 80's in the ECHL. Virginia Lancers. The dude was relentless. He was usually the smallest guy on the ice but he worked harder than anybody on any team. He never gave up and played 110% at all times. So I'm a Tortorella fan from way back. His style and effort made a big impression on me. It was nice to see him win the Stanley Cup a few years ago too. He has definitely paid his dues. Quote
Lucky Craft Man Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I don't know who will win, but I am hoping the Penguins do win. Quote
Hooked_On_Bass Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 Penguins have a good chance....... Quote
Pitchinkid Posted December 17, 2010 Posted December 17, 2010 I gotta go with my Pens. Philly looks good unfortunately. Malkin had been slumping for a while now. Wouldn't surprise me if this is his last year in a pens uniform. He is going to want the same money as Crosby and i don't think he is going to get it. Quote

Pitchinkid Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Malkin had a 5 point game and has had 8 points in the last 9 Pens goals. He must have read my post and got his $%&* together. Go Pens Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted December 21, 2010 Super User Posted December 21, 2010 Pitt looks great, but things change as the year goes on. I would put my money on the pens if I had too tho. Quote
