Super User Gone_Phishin Posted August 24, 2010 Author Super User Posted August 24, 2010 Its been talked about locally every day. The $64,000.00 question, Can the Rangers lock Lee up after the season for a few years? If he is not in NY pinstripes next season, I'll send you a crankbait. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted August 24, 2010 Super User Posted August 24, 2010 If Cliff Lee had any other agent, I'd say Yanks was shoe-in for #1 offer. Quote

Super User Matt Fly Posted September 23, 2010 Super User Posted September 23, 2010 It normally takes a back seat to football when the season starts, Rangers and Astros are always a mile back as football commences. Cowboys in a funk and Rangers up top. What a switch. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted October 1, 2010 Author Super User Posted October 1, 2010 Anyone want to guess where Big Z is pitching next year? He is 7-0, with a 1.46 ERA in 10 starts since the All-Star break. Will anyone take on his albatross of a contract? One a side note, has anyone seen the fantasy baseball commercial where a couple of jocks are in the lunchroom, and are trying to figure out why a pitcher's WHIP is so bad? Three geeks walk up to them and call them dorks. Hilarious. Quote

Super User Gone_Phishin Posted November 21, 2010 Author Super User Posted November 21, 2010 The stove is hot boys. Lots of crazy rumors: J Upton is being shopped; Bartolo Colon is making a little noise; Cliff Lee to the Evil Empire. A few moves already made: Uggla to the Braves; Rajai Davis to the Jays; John Buck signed with the Fins. Anyone care to make some predictions? If the Crew doesn't trade Fielder, I expect either Casey McGehee, Carlos Gomez, Mat Gamel, or Brett Lawrie to be swapped for some SP's. Quote
Super User Gone_Phishin Posted November 24, 2010 Author Super User Posted November 24, 2010 Today's news: *V-Mart signed a 4 year, $50 mil contract with Detroit. It is reported that he will see time at the DH position. This gives the Tigers the left-handed bat they needed in '10. *SF resigned Aubrey Huff to a 2 year, $22 mil deal. The deal includes a $10 mil club option for 2013, with a $2 mil buyout, and no no-trade clause. *Derek Jeter has reportedly balked at NY's offer of 3/$45...what a tool. *The Reds have signed Dontrelle Willis to a minor league deal. *Finally, Joey Votto won the NL MVP. he was one vote shy of a unanimous decision. And Josh Hamilton won the AL MVP. Quote
