tipptruck1 Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 CBS switch games about mid way through the 3rd quarter. This was the reason. The pats have this game well in hand. So we will be switching to a closer game. That game was the jets game. Mind you I live 4 hours from Chicago. There are bear fans up here in WI I bet there ticked. Quote
Uncle Leo Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Yes I am a fan and yes they got spanked. Thank God the Lions pulled it out. :-[ Quote
Super User CWB Posted December 13, 2010 Super User Posted December 13, 2010 I'm not a coach, but the first half, Cutler was under center dropping back and mostly running for his life. Second half they used the gun more and he started clicking, except for the INT. in the endzone again. I thought the Pats pass defense stunk. Pretty simple. If your line can't run or pass block, you ain't gonna win. 2 holding calls that took away first downs in the first didn't help. Eternal optimist I guess. Quote

Devin McCourty, one of the Patriots better Defensive Backs was out for the whole second half. I thought they did pretty well on pass defense myself. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted December 13, 2010 Super User Posted December 13, 2010 I think the only thing that stunk in that game was the Bears team, except for their return game they were exposed as weak. Quote

Just what game did you watch? ;D ;D ;D Stinky pass defense? Did you see the last play of the first half? Now there was some real stinky, lazy defense Quote
Pitchinkid Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Yeh the Bears played like garbage. Regular season though. Im not too worried. Pats are a good team but we made them look awesome. Just wish the playoffs would hurry up and get here. Quote

Bears made them look pretty good. http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/Articles/11_3509_New_England's_capital-F_Fatal_Flaw.html Point was the Bears couldn't do crap against a pass defense that was supposedly the teams weak link but Brady picked apart a supposedly good pass defense, mostly out of the gun. I would add stupid to lazy also. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted December 13, 2010 Super User Posted December 13, 2010 I honestly believe the Steelers and the Ravens are the only two teams capable of beating the Patriots in the playoffs. I say this because they are the two teams that have the ability to play in the same climate as Foxboro and both have defenses that, when they play at their best, have the ability to shut down that Pat's offense. The Pats are looking tough right now, no doubt. Quote

Chargers have the best shot, if Rivers and company decide to play all 4 quarters. Only 2 NFC teams i can see beating them is the Bears(because im a Bears fan) and the falcons. Falcons are going to be tuff. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted December 13, 2010 Super User Posted December 13, 2010 as a pats fan I think the 2 teams that would scare me would be the falcons and the saints. the falcons are kind of an unknown to us in the afc and the saints killed us last year and seem to be regaining their form from a shaky start. the steelers and ravens, well we already beat them, and we have pittsburghs number in big games. Indy doesn't have it this year and the chargers will make a strong push, then cough it up when it counts, as usual. We have Brady and Bellicheck, and thats more than most tams can match up with. NateFollmer Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Geez I saw Hey Bear's fans... and then SpeedBead's name beside it... I thought this was going to be a Hershey Bear's thread! Anyway, that game was terrible... laughable even! I hate the Pat's with a passion, but I have respect for them, as they are a pretty darn good team. Oh, and Go Ravens! Quote

Super User Tin Posted December 14, 2010 Author Super User Posted December 14, 2010 Are you guys talking about the Ravens team that just blew a 21-0 lead to a mediocre team? Quote
NateFollmer Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Are you guys talking about the Ravens team that just blew a 21-0 lead to a mediocre team? Ah... Low blow! But they deserve it... That was absolutely terrible last night! Tired defense my butt - that was the entire teams fault. I don't know what's happening with the Ravens, but they are falling apart in the 4th quarter... Quote
