J. M. Richardson Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I didn't know where to put this so I figured I would start it here. I have a suggestion for a new forum topic: College Bass Anglers. I know there are quite a few of us who peruse the site frequently and are members of Collegiate bass teams, or people who are looking for ways to help start up a bass club at their school. Collegiate bass fishing has exploded in the last few years (which is awesome in my opinion) and this would be a great place for those of us who are younger anglers to share ideas and information. Just a suggestion, but one I am hoping you will take into consideration. Thanks, Justin Quote
Super User Alpster Posted December 9, 2010 Super User Posted December 9, 2010 FWIW..... The forum already has both a "Bass Clubs" section and a "Tournament" section. As the forums expand into more and more "specialized" groups, I think they lose the input from experienced anglers who will avoid the age, gender and special interest specific forums. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I would like to have a "old, bald, with bad knees" section, but Catt & I would be the only ones to go there. Actually, that wouldn't be so bad. JMHO Ronnie Quote

Super User J Francho Posted December 9, 2010 Super User Posted December 9, 2010 For now, Bass Clubs would be a logical choice. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted December 9, 2010 Super User Posted December 9, 2010 sign me up for the old fart's club. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted December 9, 2010 Super User Posted December 9, 2010 sign me up for the old fart's club. I always thought that you had to be at least 60 to be considered an old fart... but since you, me, Catt, and probably others are all 58, perhaps we can get a "group waiver" and they'll let us into the club a few years early... ;D Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted December 9, 2010 Super User Posted December 9, 2010 Sign me up. I am "only" 54 but by physical condition and temperament I should qualify. Quote

Super User Long Mike Posted December 10, 2010 Super User Posted December 10, 2010 Anyone in the OFFC is willing to give solid, sound advice. But, it's just their opinion; although it may have taken decades of experience to form. ;D Besides, when is the last time a youngster listened to the opinions of an Old Fart? Quote
Taylor Fishin 4 life Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 I say yall need to have 3 groups in the Farts The Old Farts 40-50 The Old Crusty Farts 51-70 and the "Thats MISTER OLD Farts to YOU!!!"71-up Quote
J. M. Richardson Posted December 10, 2010 Author Posted December 10, 2010 Being a young guy...i actually listen to those who have more than twice (or three times) as many years as me. It may be advice from someone stubborn, but if it's the way they do something it's probably because it works. Quote
scbassin Posted December 10, 2010 Posted December 10, 2010 Looks like I'll have to be in the Mr. old farts to you club. Quote
