You know, the worst thing about this game is the map design. So freaking noob friendly. Every single location has 3 flanking routes, gone are most of the sweet choke points. UGH.

Is anyone using the theatre? I just started messing with it. There are a few games in my file share for those of you on my friends list. The 2nd one I went 81-16 with almost no help from my killstreaks.

I'm back to playing COD 4 right now.  I've given up on Black Ops.  The only reason I haven't exchanged it yet is because I still have some faint hope that it'll get fixed.

I'll just patiently wait for BFBC2 Vietnam to come out on the 21st.  They just did a major update to the game that fixed a lot of problems along with adding a few maps.  Kudos to EA for getting it right.

Everytime I try and play MW1 it takes forever to get a lobby and then it is super laggy, presumably because you get matched with really distant people. I miss that game. The series just hasnt lived up to that one since then.

Ive been back and forth with " im selling this piece of" and being able to play it.

The CoD series may well be dead now.  The last two games have been pretty lackluster.  All that was needed was to take the CoD4 engine, keep the same stuff.  Just reskin it and make some new maps and you would have had a great game.  The problems we're having right now are a direct effect from not having a public beta.  CoD4 had a public beta, the major bugs were fixed, the game was great.

I wont just play MW2, I'll just NOT play CoD. I wasnt super happy with what IW did with that game either. But its a far sight better than this one.Something will fill the void. It wont be MoH or BFBC tho.

Yes, Black Ops sold a ton of copies. A lot of them have already been returned. There are more people playing MW and MW2 than black ops right now. Which is pretty sad seeing how the game is almost a month old. If Treyarch comes out and fixes the bug issues I'll be pretty happy with it. Some of the weapons that were put in the game are pretty stupid though. The game is set in the Vietnam era. There are weapons in the game made in the 80's. One of them was a prototype weapon that had about 15 made before it got scraped.  There are some really bad pieces where you can see that the designers got a bit lazy with.  Most of it is just aesthetic stuff that I can live with.  The random unexplainable lag though, no thanks.  The servers may need some work somewhere.

If you're going to make a period specific game, don't just make the maps period specific.

Yeah the caseless gun is ridiculous, by the same token, if I remember correctly, there was only 75 Walther W2000s made as well.

But I can deal with all of that kind of stuff. What I cannot deal with are maps that are totally conducive to the camping little 11 year old, miserable spawns, bad audio ( somewhat fixed), knife lunging, snipe nerfing, lag, swastikas and weiners on every other emblem,shotguns as primaries, and THE ENTIRE perk, weapon, equipment, and leveling system. Also, regardless of period correctness, the weapon selection SUCKS.

And yes, i had nothing to do today, so I have been playing Black Ops. Thus, the high frustration level.

Oh yeah, one final note, putting a snub nose on a revolver makes it more accurate now? Awesome.

Fourbizz, what you said about the spawns is 100% correct.  I cannot stand it when you work your way around the other team, pick off a couple of guys, then they spawn right behind your back.  What the heck is the point of moving around if thats going to happen.

How do you know MW and MW2 have more players? That seems really far-fetched to me.

Also, I have not heard about this lag issue you're talking about. I've personally had no problems with lag whatsoever. In fact, since the release of the game I've also had much fewer problems with joining games while in large (5-7 player) parties.

FWIW, the MP is not supposed to be period specific, hence the remote control car, etc...Only the SP was supposed to be period specific and frankly, I thought the SP was just weird. I thought Medal Of Honor was MUCH better in that regard.

You have the benefit of being smack dab in the middle of the highest density of players on the planet. You arent gonna see lag problems to the extent that someone in Wyoming, Alaska, or Australia are. Also, I know that you are probably aware, but just because you dont see clipping or people jumping 10ft across the map in the blink of an eye, doesnt mean that there isnt lag. For me at least, it is there, and it is worse than any of it's predecessors.

You can also tell with the in game counters.  They show roughly how many players are playing online at any given time.  Last night, Black Ops had 250k players give or take a few.  MW had well over 400k people playing.

That CAN'T be right! Are you sure that wasn't for one game type or something? There is just no way that MW has more players than Black Ops. If anything, MAYBE, MAYBE MW2 but definitely not MW.

You should hear from some of the people that I regularly play with.  Two of them are Gamestop managers and say that on a daily basis people are coming in to sell the game back to the store.
