Super User Fishing Rhino Posted December 6, 2010 Super User Posted December 6, 2010 If you've seen the movie "The Bucket List" you've heard of it. Cat poop coffee. soccplayer07 Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I love coffee. I just picked up one of these... http://www.saeco-usa.com/en/products/household-automatic-machines/1/automatic/0/odea-giro-plus/325/odea-giro-plus.html Makes an amazing cup. Quote
jdw174 Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I love coffee......probably to excess which is why I spend half the night wearing out a path to the bathroom ;D Quote
NateFollmer Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I am a coffee freak! I bet I have more types of coffee than I do fishing lures... (Ok maybe it isn't that bad, but I do have a ton). My Favorites: Green Mtn. Coffee's Caribou Blend Timothy's Coffee Zuna Blend Coffee People's Dounut Shop Coffee Green Mtn. Sumatran Reserve Blend I don't remember the name of it, but whatever they sell at the bakery inside Hershey's Chocolate World LOL Disney actually makes an awesome blend that has Pete the cat on the tin... Again, can't remember the name HA Quote
Super User KU_Bassmaster. Posted December 6, 2010 Super User Posted December 6, 2010 Dunkin Donuts. Don't think it can get any better Quote
Super User Shane J Posted December 6, 2010 Super User Posted December 6, 2010 I'm another Dunkin's coffee fan. Drink more than my share of the French Vanilla. Quote
B-Dozer Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Like Nate, I'm a coffee freak too. Best coffee maker is my Cabela's stainless steel, non electric, put her on the fire or stove percolator. You can really taste the difference. Grinding the beans yourself is a must. Dunkin Donuts? might as well go to the Mobil station Quote
B-Dozer Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 Never had cat poop coffee, do eat Chinese once in awhile :-? Quote

Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted December 6, 2010 Super User Posted December 6, 2010 Cuban Coffee please. Theres no need for anything else. Quote
Super User Alpster Posted December 6, 2010 Super User Posted December 6, 2010 I am a coffee snob! Grind my beans (Columbian is the best) and brew with a Bunn VPS. Also have a smaller Bunn brewer in my bedroom. Yep, no need to wait till you go downstairs. LOVE my coffee!!! Ronnie Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted December 6, 2010 BassResource.com Administrator Posted December 6, 2010 I think we have 8 or 9 different types of coffee in the fridge at this very moment. Flavored and dark roasts/blends from boutique roasters are our favorites. We currently have a supply of pumpkin spice coffee for the holidays. 8-) We grind our own. French press is the way to go baby! When we're camping, we "downgrade" to Dunkin Doughnuts. ;D Quote
NateFollmer Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 x2 on the french press. When I don't have the Keurig running, the FP is the only other way I'll make coffee! Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted December 6, 2010 Super User Posted December 6, 2010 Any coffee made with arabica beans. New England Eye Opener is my favorite at home. Honey Dew Doughnuts Coffee when I'm on the way out to work. Double D's (Dunkin Donuts) works as well. Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted December 6, 2010 Author Super User Posted December 6, 2010 This thread was prompted in part by the article, and in part because my wife got one of those one cup Keurig (sp?) coffee brewers. Coffee, I can take it or leave it. There are two times I may drink coffee. The first is if we go out to breakfast. Depending on my mood it's either a large glass of OJ, or the never ending cup of coffee (decaf). The other time I'll drink it is while travelling. Usually it's a medium, regular, with caffein, and a couple of bagels or donuts, from DD. When I leave the house to get to the lake/pond just before daylight, I get ice for the cooler at a 24hr gas station, then pull through the drive through for the medium, regular, hi-test DD coffee and a couple of donuts. Takes care of breakfast, and gives me a jump start to stay alert. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted December 6, 2010 Super User Posted December 6, 2010 i enjoy green mountain coffee Quote
NateFollmer Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I just got a Keurig also. That thing is awesome, but I have to use three of those cups to get my 'normal' day ration haha. I can tell it's going to get expensive, but it allows me to try a ton of different coffees without having to buy an entire bag. There's a coffee shop near my house that sells single Kcups and you can get a mix of whatever you want to create a 'box'. Quote
scbassin Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 After 21yrs in the diesel electric submarine force I am down to 3 pots a day. I do miss the the flavor of the lube oil or diesel fuel blend though. kept you loose. Quote
brushhoggin Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 another fan of the french press. purest way to drink coffee. for me, anything south american will do Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted December 6, 2010 Super User Posted December 6, 2010 I never acquired a taste for coffee. Heck I don't even like the smell of it. Quote
soccplayer07 Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I like the idea of the Keurig but they don't last long. I have gone through three of them. All had minor electrical issues from shutting off on its own to not brewing the selected size. Quote
done Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 I never liked coffee. Then I got my first job in IT and they gave away free Starbucks all day. I have evolved into good coffee now. One thing I do like, we have caribou coffee around here, they have some good blends. Really love a good Kona blend too. There is a place in downtown Columbia, SC (or used to be) call immaculate consumption that had some awesome homemade blends. Quote
GTrombly Posted December 6, 2010 Posted December 6, 2010 my sister in-law works for keurig, she hooks up with free coffee and swag. plus everything is half off. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted December 7, 2010 Super User Posted December 7, 2010 As long as it is a good strong dark blend I'm in. I like the high end blends, but I drink Folgers Supreme dark roast most of the time. I know that most of you coffee snobs now have categorized me as unenlightened Philistine. I'm OK with that. Quote
