Super User Fishing Rhino Posted December 2, 2010 Super User Posted December 2, 2010 EDMOND, OK -- Two women are arrested for shoplifting and police say they used their bodies to conceal the goods. Edmond police authorities say it was at the Edmond TJ Maxx that loss prevention officers found the duo stuffing items under their belly fat and breasts. They say they took four pair of boots, three pair of jeans, a wallet and gloves; $2,600 worth of store merchandise. Ailene Brown, 28, and 37-year-old Shmeco Thomas were arrested for shoplifting and are facing felony charges. Officer James Hamm said, "These two were actually concealing them in areas of their body where excess skin was, under their chest area and armpits." http://www.kfor.com/kfor-news-fat-roll-shoplifters-story,0,3781914.story Quote

Super User bilgerat Posted December 2, 2010 Super User Posted December 2, 2010 The wife of one of the mechanics I work with is a manager for a Gap store at one of the malls here. Talk about some outrageous shoplifting stories. My wife used to manage a Rickel's Home Center (anyone remember them ?) They had nicknames for their shoplifters. They would walk in empty handed, pick an item off of the shelf and take it up to customer service with a bs story about how they didn't have a receipt. So the store would buy their own merchandise back at retail (ridiculous retail rule, don't challenge the customer) Rickels aimed most of their theft prevention towards their employees. They've been out of business for almost twenty years now. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted December 2, 2010 Super User Posted December 2, 2010 since when do 9 pieces of clothing/accessories come out to $2600! especially at tj maxx!!! Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted December 2, 2010 Super User Posted December 2, 2010 since when do 9 pieces of clothing/accessories come out to $2600! especially at tj maxx!!! I'm still trying to digest what they stole and where they hid it let alone what the price tag came to. This whole thing is just nasty. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 2, 2010 Global Moderator Posted December 2, 2010 I've seen more than one person hide stuff in belly rolls. It's really nasty on a hot day when you get a guy that's 400 pounds and soaked with sweat and you have to pat them down :-/, thank god for latex gloves! Women are really bad about hiding things in their bras and worst, thankfully with the PC state of things a male can not pat down a female ;D Quote

We used to get cash refunds, no ??? asked. Quote
shootermcbob Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 I have personally witnessed a large, very large...probably 400 lb. woman conceal a 12 pound frozen frozen turkey in her pants. Nasty. Best part about it she tried to say "but I had that when I came in the store" ;D Quote

brushhoggin Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 this is a big deal now, where folks steal clothes or whatever else and sell them on the street for half price. i've heard of some folks getting uber rich doing this. i don't know who would buy hot clothes from these women given the goods probably smell like rank cheese. "you spent $200 on a tip calculator?!?!" Quote
farmpond1 Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Who names their kid Shmecko ;D LOL. What gets me is when you invariably slaughter their names pronunciation and they look at you all indignant-like. Come on! It's not like "Jane" or "Mary." Their gonna have to make oversized full body scanners for these...(ahem) "ladies." Otherwise, they could smuggle weapons (grenade launchers, stinger missiles, main battle tanks) onto airplanes. Quote
Super User slonezp Posted December 3, 2010 Super User Posted December 3, 2010 Or you can just give them the "enhanced" pat down. Just ignore the rank cheese smell. Quote
bass or bass ? Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 TMI! Too much information! EEEWW! Quote
Scorcher214 Posted December 4, 2010 Posted December 4, 2010 Heard this on a morning radio show. If you can hide even one pair of boots under your rolls, you are toooooo fat, let alone 4 pairs, jeans, gloves, and a wallet, I don't understand... Quote
BassChaser57 Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 QUESTION OF THE DAY??? If those clothes were under rolls of body fat and boobs -- does anybody really want that stuff back. Answer # 1. I'm NOT touching it with a 10 foot pole. Quote

You wouldn't try to get the clothes back, unless of course you want to get stuck in all the rolls also. Quote
