You left off "treasonous" as an option.

Well, it is slightly difficult to commit treason against a country that you are not a citizen of, do not live in, nor owe any allegience to.

I would fully support them IF they had removed all names from their Afghan documents.  They didn't and because of that people who were working with us have been outed.

Also, the editorializing of some of their initial posts was not necessary and hurts them in the long run.

Other than that (and those are pretty big), I'm all for it.  I am definitely curious to see what they have on the big US bank though.

;D just trying to keep it a simple question, and if we stay on topic hopefully the threads not closed :D

You're certainly walking the line with your latest topics! :)

im glad info about govt/coporate misconduct came out.

sensitive info that could put lives at risk - not cool.

alot of brilliant ideas seem nuts at first. imma go with none of the above on this one.

Brilliant but they will be censored somehow soon.

Nuts for naming.

They have a banking one coming out next I can't wait to see.

Judge Andrew P. Napolitano of Fox News said on TV yesterday that Wikileaks had done nothing illegal, he favored the info being leaked, if I understood him correctly.  Sensitive national security issues should not be disclosed IMO.

Haven't looked at what was released, but I think we have a right to know some things and other things we will learn in due time. If it compromises the current situation of whatever is going on right now (I'm talking in general) then that info should be omitted until that situation is over or no longer sensitive. I think the government does hold onto 'secrets' too long, they should be released sooner, but not right away.

Aw, its easy to understand

If they fall under the rules and IF we stay on topic the mods have no problem with it, at least thats what they have proven to me. If it isn't rule worthy, or someone train wrecks it for us Irene shows up ;)

(im guilty of train wrecking a few in my past, just like others)

OK, back on topic ;D

There will always be a fine line between Government transparency and keeping secrets in the national interest. When an American puts lives at risk by releasing confidential information he/she is guilty of treason. When a foreign national does the same, he/she is guilty of crimes against the United States and should be prosecuted aggressively.

I voted nuts.

From what I've seen, I give all these "revelations" a great, big HO HUM.

German Chancellor Merkel is a bit stiff and not so energetic. Big surprise - not.

Everyone near Iran hates them. Coulda guessed that.

Democracy is dead in Russia. You have to be a nimrod not to have seen that.

One of the Royal Family is rude. Well, every family has an ***hole in it.

The Saudi King is actually a pretty good US supporter. He oughta be. We help keep him ion power.

The British had some mishap in Afghanistan. So did we.

China really doesn't like North Korea very much. I don't like it when I have a pimple on my butt, either.

All this stuff adds up to a great, big BIG DEAL.

LOL Micro.  I'm sure they say the same stuff about our intelligent leaders.

What gets me isnt the leaks its who is selling them the stuff.

I haven't seen anything that has been "embarrassing."  All these observations by US officials appear to be very intuitive.  I mean, how much thought do you have to put into the China-Korea relationship?  China supports North Korea on the surface.  But North Korea is a "taker" country.   They offer nothing in return.  And China is not interested in that kind of relationship with anyone.

And a some of the communications tell me our concerns about other countries are right where they are supposed to be.  This nonsense about "spying" on UN officials: I'd be more shocked and appalled if we weren't.
