done Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 http://planetsave.com/2010/11/24/nasa-finds-our-lakes-are-warming/ Yeah I know the link is from "Planetsave" but it quotes a NASA study showing lake temps are rising nationwide. If the trend continues (ignoring any causes here), i wonder what this will mean for fishing in general over the long run. At what point do we begin to have an impact to bass fishing? Quote
Uncle Leo Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 I fish some Power Plant Cooling Lakes. During the summer these lakes will warm to as much as 108 degrees F on the Warm side and 88 degrees F on the cool side. I beleive the fish and fisherman adapt to this radical change. Of course the fish find cooler water and stay active so I am sure they will adapt. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted November 24, 2010 Posted November 24, 2010 Maybe they will quite freezing over so i can fish more. 8-) Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted November 24, 2010 Super User Posted November 24, 2010 Warmer water = more grass More grass = more bass Quote
