Super User deaknh03 Posted November 15, 2010 Super User Posted November 15, 2010 benched 3 weeks ago, but now he's good enough for that money?? no wonder the skins suck. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted November 16, 2010 Super User Posted November 16, 2010 Good for McNabb....he takes a bunch of crap and always smiles about it. I'm not convinced he's got 5 years left in him though? Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted November 16, 2010 Super User Posted November 16, 2010 Daniel Snyder is a moron. Yes he is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted November 16, 2010 Super User Posted November 16, 2010 I'm not convinced he's got 5 years left in him though? Thats the first thing I thought of when I heard this on ESPN. If the Redskins are willing to let him hang around like Farve then you never know. Quote

Super User deaknh03 Posted November 16, 2010 Super User Posted November 16, 2010 I hope mcnabb can make it thru a big game without throwing up. Quote
Red Bear Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 id almost guarantee the last year or two of the contract is/are voidable dummy years. only in place to make the total value appear bigger. nfl teams and agents do that all the time. realistically its probably a 3 year 50 million dollar deal. and just because it says 40 million guaranteed doesnt mean thats the true guarantee of the deal either. it was probably a smart move to resign mcnabb only because it allows the skins to build other parts of the team like the interior offensive line, wide receiver, running back, defensive line, and safety. it gives you a solid QB to hold down the fort until the skins can afford to risk playing a young qb prospect of which they dont have yet and probably wont till the 2012 draft Quote
Red Bear Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/11/16/mcnabbs-real-guarantee-3-5-million/ a breakdown of mcnabbs contract and what its really worth. while my previous speculation was innaccurate, i was correct that the deal is not nearly as big as advertised. Super User deaknh03 Posted November 16, 2010 Super User Posted November 16, 2010 Wow, after reading that my question is, why bother? Mcnabb will never reach any of those incentives, and will probably be cut loose if the skins fail to reach the playoffs, making it a 3.5 million dollar contract. Quote

I'm looking for the Steelers to come out angry and ready to make a statement against my boys. I wanted the Steelers to beat the Patriots for this very reason. (The bet is still on though) Quote
