shootermcbob Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I can't remember the last time I saw a more undisciplined team play. I am a cowboy fan, and always have been. But they are VASTLY overrated talent wise, and they play dumb football. This past few years reminds me of the mid to late nineties teams, when Jerry was famously quoted as "Drafting for backups" . Idiot. Very rich with a professional football team as a cool toy, but an idiot nonetheless. Sadly, it will only get worse. The offensive line is old, and they have no players in the wings to step in. This team had the necessary talent to win ( although they are not nearly as talented as they or the sportscasters would have us believe). Poor, poor drafts and complete lack of coaching has doomed them, and us, to another decade of mediocre football. Thanks for listening. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 It all goes back to the owner, coaches, and front office. So much for the title game predictions. LMAO! Quote
Captain Obvious Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 How bout them Rangers!!!!! As long as Jerry Jones insists on being the GM, Coach, and owner Cowboys are going nowhere. All the talent in the world won't win you games unless you have a good Coach running it. Jerry Jones is not a good coach That is why I'm so glad the Rangers and the Stars are playing good. GO RANGERS!!!!! Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 18, 2010 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 18, 2010 Good to see the 'Boys fans finally realizing what the rest of us have known for years. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 18, 2010 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 18, 2010 Oh hey, how did you like that last play of the game? It's like get the theme song to the Benny Hill show and imagine the huddle ok guys listen up . We need to make a play .. Ok I'll though it to you Jones and you run a bit then throw it to Austin then you run a bit then throw it back to me and I'll run a bit then throw I'll throw it to you BRYANT BRYANT wake up Bryant you're the last guy go for the end zone ..ok break all in all 13 yards and bodies all over .. LMAO Soccer players are laughing at them . Quote
Super User Tin Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 As long as Jerry Jones insists on being the GM, Coach, and owner Cowboys are going nowhere. x100000000 Yesterdays post-game interview on ESPN said it all. After Romo spoke it went to the Jones, not Wade Phillips. It showed who is calling the shots and who will follow in Al Davis's footsteps. :-X It is to the point where only an idiot would take that Cowboys coaching job and why I could never see a great name or coach like a Bill Cowher take it. Super User BASSclary Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 If they didn't kill them selves with penalties, their record would be different. Nuff said. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 If they didn't kill them selves with penalties, their record would be different. Nuff said. And if pigs had wings... Quote
Super User J Francho Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 If they didn't kill them selves with penalties, their record would be different. Nuff said. A team that can't even get substitutions on the field, or have the FG unit come out without a delay of game penalty simply is not playoff material. That's from a long time Dallas fan. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 If they didn't kill them selves with penalties, their record would be different. Nuff said. You honestly don't know what you're talking about !!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Super User Fishing Rhino Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 If they didn't kill them selves with penalties, their record would be different. Nuff said. And, if they'd outscored all their opponents they'd be undefeated. The reality is they killed themselves with penalties. The mark of an undisciplined loser. Nothing like snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 And, if they'd outscored all their opponents they'd be undefeated. Yep. Quote

Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted October 18, 2010 Super User Posted October 18, 2010 Theres nothing better than watching Hurd throw up the Hook'em Horns sign.......when he didn't go to Texas. Man, what a joke in Dallas. This is funny as hell to watch. Quote
shootermcbob Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 They are so far away from being a "playoff" team. I can see it, and so can the rest of the world...and I have been a fan for 40 years. Jones is quoted today as saying He has faith in Wade and the cowboys can still accomplish their goals...(Win the super bowl). I guess that statement should tell folks all the need to know. I do not think the 'boys will win 7 games this year....and I am a fan. Jones needs to back out of the picture, get a head coach and a Football Man to be the GM, and let them do their jobs. Look at how far Kansas City has come in the last year and a half. If he feels a need to be in the media constantly, he can send some nasty texts and photos to Jenn Sterger. Quote
lightsout Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 Jimmy Johnsons been endorsing more stuff than roland martin lately, maybe he would take his old job back? ;D I seriously cant take watching this much longer. We literally have been in posistion to win every game deep into the 2nd half all year. Jerry is playing lip service I think to keep the rumor mill silent, Wade's days are numbered. Its going to eat him alive (jerry) when the superbowl comes to town. On a more positive note, giving credit where credit is due Roy Williams is playing his butt of this year. Quote
Daddyodo Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 As a die-hard Redskin fan all I can say is HOW BOUT THEM COWBOYS Seriously though I feel your pain, we here in Redskin land have put up with a stupid owner and bad bad team for way too long > > Quote
Super User 5bass Posted October 25, 2010 Super User Posted October 25, 2010 Do the Cowgirls have a chance tonight against the Giants? I dont think they do. Go Giants!!! Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted October 25, 2010 Super User Posted October 25, 2010 Hows about a friendly wager on that? If the cowboys win, I get to change your avatar to whatever I choose or 2 weeks, if the giants win, you get to change mine for two weeks. Deal? Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 25, 2010 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 25, 2010 Nope. They're going to get creamed. Can't wait until the TV flex schedule kicks in. I'm sick of seeing the Cowgirls on Sunday/Monday Night Football. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted October 25, 2010 Super User Posted October 25, 2010 Glenn, how's about you do the profile avatar/picture wager? : Quote
shootermcbob Posted October 26, 2010 Author Posted October 26, 2010 Better not make any bets. The giants are a far superior team, and having 3 turnovers in 1st half and still leading the game says all one needs to know. Face it cowboys fans, we are sinking into the depths of mediocrity with no hope of getting back. Our best players are in their prime right now, and in two or three years, Dallas will be the Buffalo of the NFL. Watch the Giants, with argueably less talent, outperform the cowboys at every aspect of the game. Makes me sick, but it is reality. And now Romo is gone for 4-6 weeks, Dallas may not win another game this year. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted October 26, 2010 BassResource.com Administrator Posted October 26, 2010 Kitna?! Good luck with that! *Oh where's Brent now?* Quote
