BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 15, 2008 BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 15, 2008 Just got these from Berkley. They're the 5" Crazy Legs Jerk Shad. I don't know yet when they'll be available, but would expect to see them in the late fall. The jar has been completely redesigned, and is "resealable". Quote
bassdocktor Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Looks interesting. Thanks for the heads up Glenn. Quote
OK Bass Hunter Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Resealable, it's about time. There's nothing worse than having that jar shift in your tacklebag and having gulp juice spilled all over your stuff. Quote
XbassmasterX Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 I was in Minnesota the other week and saw those new jars and bait Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Does the remote control them? :-/ ;D Yes, Thats how you take the lid off. Nice insight thanks Glenn. Quote
Super User OkobojiEagle Posted July 15, 2008 Super User Posted July 15, 2008 Glenn... after you get them in the water please post as to how the tail affects the bait's glide. Thanks Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted July 15, 2008 Author BassResource.com Administrator Posted July 15, 2008 The video shows it all. It's after the swimbait portion. Funny, it's on Youtube and apparently on the shelves in MN, but the package I recieved said it was debuting here at ICAST this week. The jar is fairly big, which is why I put the remote next to it for scale. Resealable - boy I sure hope it's completely leak proof! I'll let you know what my experience is. Quote
rondef Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Not really a big Gulp fan but the bait looks pretty cool. I would love to hear some feedback on them before I make a purchase. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 I don't like gulp either, because it pulls in the sunfish. It looks like those little curlies would get nipped off by a sunny in a minute. Interesting though. Quote
-ebby- Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 i have seen that shaped jar on shelves to but i don't think they where the jerk shads Quote
OK Bass Hunter Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 Ok I'm very tempted leakproof or not. Who in Minnesota wants to do me a favor and pick me up 2 jars. I'll send the cash by paypal. Quote
-ebby- Posted July 15, 2008 Posted July 15, 2008 if i go to the berkley store ill see if they have any and ill let you know Quote

Lavrax Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 What is that liquid and WHY do they store soft plastics inside there?? Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 16, 2008 Super User Posted July 16, 2008 The liquid is the magical formula that makes Gulp! what it is. A catfish and bream bait!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Quote

Aaron Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I was at the Cabelas in Rogers, MN last night and saw some similar jars but did not see the same lures as Glenn posted. I think they were 19.99 a jar. Quote
moby bass Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 I've done fairly well with the minnows and very well with the leeches. Will definitely be giving these a try. I carry the old style jars in a small styrofome cooler to prevent messes. Quote
