OHIO Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I just wanted to see what your favorite concerts have been. Bob Dylan and Tom Petty are some of the few I have been to and they were amazing. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted October 8, 2010 Super User Posted October 8, 2010 I went to see the grateful dead in 1990 for half of their summer tour. Awesome shows, and the openers were great also. They had CSNY and Bruce Hornsby at different times. Quote
NateFollmer Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I haven't been to many, but I have a few that cannot be topped. 1st - I saw Atreyu and CKY at the Crowbar (it's a small bar that used to be in State College). CKY was boring, all they did was talk, but Atreyu rocked! 2nd - Deftones, Breaking Benjamin, Cold and Dredg at the Bryce Jordan Center. Deftones played FOREVER and it was awesome. All the bands played their best that night. On a completely unrelated side note... I was in a band once and I had to quit due to my work schedule. Two weeks after I quit, they opened for Breaking Benjamin... I was a sad panda for weeks after that! Quote

NateFollmer Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 They aren't around anymore HA! Only 2 of the members are still in bands, both of which are just local acts. I only play for myself now, I had my time and got to play a lot of great places (all in PA though). We used to play with a local act called "The Grimm", man they were odd. They used to throw tampons, starburst and other random stuff into the crowd... Nice guys though, just... odd... Quote
MyKeyBe Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I haven't been to many, but I have a few that cannot be topped. I saw Pink Floyd in 1994 and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted October 8, 2010 Super User Posted October 8, 2010 saw Old Crow Medicine Show in the Maymont park in Richmond over the summer. absolutely amazing show. Quote
Jaheff Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I saw Pink Floyd in 1994 and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I saw this concert too, at the old Jack Murphy Stadium (Qualcomm) in San Diego.I think it was called the Division Bell tour. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted October 8, 2010 Super User Posted October 8, 2010 I saw faith no more at a tiny club in boston. I was standing 3 feet from them while they played, about 100 people total in the club. Quote
choupique Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 The Rolling Stones and ZZ Top were my favorites. Quote
I.rar Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 ive been to a few. my favorite had to be the sick and twisted tour. korn just released issues and staind just came out with dysfunction. great times. Quote
Super User Micro Posted October 8, 2010 Super User Posted October 8, 2010 Eagles - Hell Freezes Over Quote
Super User slonezp Posted October 9, 2010 Super User Posted October 9, 2010 Metallica open for Ozzy Ride the Lightning/Bark at the Moon respectively Bostons come back tour around '86 or '87 Neil Young before he became whiney Eagles and if any of you guys like blues go see Buddy Guy live. You won't be disappointed. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted October 9, 2010 Super User Posted October 9, 2010 My all time favorite was just last year. In order or appearance: God Forbid Suicidal Tendencies Children of Bodom Lamb of God All in a 800 seat theatre. Ive seen Lamb play much better, at smaller shows, but all 4 of those bands tore it down. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted October 9, 2010 Super User Posted October 9, 2010 Being from Boston, I never got to see Boston, so Slonezp you're killing me...LOL Van Halen twice. Once with David Lee Roth and once with Sammy Hagar. Aerosmith when Joe Perry came back to the band...On a side note, we used to go to the warehouse, in my home town, after school to listen to them jam. Bon Jovi...another side note, my father was in the marine corp with his dad....same outfit...and if I remember correctly, my father said his real name is spelled: Bon Giovi Billy Idol...that guy was a nut Micro, that concert with the Eagles must have been an awesome one to see. Would have love to have seen Pink Floyd as well. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted October 9, 2010 Super User Posted October 9, 2010 To add some country to the mix... Garth Brooks was pretty awesome in concert back in the day. A buddy of mine happened to see him at his Vegas show last week and said that he still puts on a great show. Quote
guitarkid Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Disciple- When Brad Noah was still touring with them. -gk Quote
mikesjet Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 Pantera and Mystic force at Hammerjacks in Maryland in 92. AWESOME, DARN NEAR EAR BLEEDING Quote
Super User grimlin Posted October 9, 2010 Super User Posted October 9, 2010 Insane clown posse puts on an awesome show with a lot of gadgets. Plus they spray Faygo(soda/pop) all over the crowd. I feel bad for who ever has to clean the place up afterwards. ;D I actually miss those days, but i grew out of that music i guess. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted October 9, 2010 Super User Posted October 9, 2010 June 11, 1976 JFK Stadium Philadelphia........the original Lynyrd Skynyrd with Ronnie VanZant. That band could bring down a bomb shelter in their prime. I've seen a lot of bygone greats....Deep Purple, Frank Zappa, Allman Brothers, Jeff Beck, Van Halen.. to name a few. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted October 9, 2010 Super User Posted October 9, 2010 Saw Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, Saosin, Taking back sunday, HIM, and some other great bands at the first Projekt Revolution. Quote
