Super User BASSclary Posted September 28, 2010 Super User Posted September 28, 2010 What are your guys' favorite sports drinks? I don't mean MONSTER or Red Bull. I mean like Gatorade Poweraid and things of that nature. I love gatorade, but if im short on cash I get poweraid. Recently i've gotten hooked on Vitamin Water. Quote
bmadd Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I collect the urine of Ricky Bobby and drink that before I play pick-up basketball games. Excellence in it's purest form I find is the best drink for sports, as well as everyday hydration. Quote

BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 28, 2010 BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 28, 2010 I don't drink anything but water now, after I learned those sports drinks were part of the cause of my kidney stones. :-[ Quote
Super User Root beer Posted September 28, 2010 Super User Posted September 28, 2010 I don't drink anything but water now, after I learned those sports drinks were part of the cause of my kidney stones. :-[ Really? I haven't had a kidney stone, but I figure if I was going to have one it would been due to all the soda. I only drink water, tea, gatorade, vitamin water, fruit juices, and that about it. I occasionally drink soda when I'm eating out, but I have no soda in my fridge. I love an ice cold gatorade after a bike ride. The glacier freeze. Have you tried the gatorade pre-game drink and post-game drink? I had 'em both they are alright, the post-game drink I had was a little sweet, but it was drinkable. Quote
Super User Tin Posted September 28, 2010 Super User Posted September 28, 2010 I don't drink anything but water now, after I learned those sports drinks were part of the cause of my kidney stones. :-[ Sounds like you need to drink more beer. Last time the gf had them the doc said to have a beer every couple of days. I guess it helps break up and pass the mineral deposits. Another doc told my grandfather the same thing. Quote
tholmes Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Primarily water, but occasionally a small bottle of G2 Gatorade. Tom Quote
Nine Miler Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 If I am playing sports, it is usually golf or softball, so my favorite sports drink is...well...Miller Lite. Quote
NateFollmer Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Water, water and then more water. Oh, and I'll have a coffee in the morning. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted September 28, 2010 Super User Posted September 28, 2010 Coffee with a double redeye. And water. Quote
tyrius. Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Water, water and then more water. Oh, and I'll have a coffee in the morning. Same, but subtract the coffee and add beer. Sports drinks are basically like koolaid. Way too sweet for me. Quote

All I USED to drink were coffee, coke, and sports drinks. All of which contribute to kidney stones big time. If you have them in moderation along with a lot of water, you should be fine. NOW I've eliminated soft drinks and sports drinks, cut back on the coffee, and drink mostly water. Never had any problems since. Quote

Super User Lund Explorer Posted September 28, 2010 Super User Posted September 28, 2010 I drink a lot of Ice Mountain pure spring water while I'm at home....... And it is completely free of charge. Don't even need to get it in bottles as it comes right out of my faucet. Even take a shower in it every morning. We use the stuff to do laundry with, and sometimes its used to water the lawn. Must have something to do with tapping off the same aquafier. But I was here first. Quote
bweave09 Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Fat Tire, enough said. A New Belgium man? Give the Ranger a try next time (if you like IPAs). It is my favorite New Belgium...not a big fan of their other stuff Quote
Super User Tin Posted September 28, 2010 Super User Posted September 28, 2010 I go with the Tucker Max Death Mix A 32 oz Gatorade in Fruit Punch, with 4 Red Bulls, and 20 oz of Everclear in a Camel Pack. You know, if you start making threads on favorite under wear, cologne, and commenting on products you have zero experience with you will reach that "Been Posting A Long Time" status real quick. Quote

Stringjam Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I like to pour those little Crystal Light packets into water bottles. Some guys chuckle and point when they see me messing with Crystal Light - but a merciless Falcon Punch remedies that situation. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted September 28, 2010 Super User Posted September 28, 2010 coconut water, best sports drink without all the crap sweeteners. Quote
