Super User Root beer Posted September 26, 2010 Super User Posted September 26, 2010 When was the last time Jordan Jefferson threw a TD pass or passed over 100 yards? Quote
SDoolittle Posted September 26, 2010 Posted September 26, 2010 Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha... I love it! I love it! I only wish it had happened before I left Texas! How much do you want to bet that they still think they're deserving of a National Championship appearance? Quote
Super User Sam Posted September 26, 2010 Super User Posted September 26, 2010 Now Root Beer, we are talking about the Texas Longhorns and not the Fighting Tigers. George Jefferson threw a touchdown pass in the Mississippi State game. What you did not notice is that George did not play against West Virginia. It was Wheezie. George will return next week against Tennessee. ;D ;D ;D Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted September 27, 2010 Super User Posted September 27, 2010 Just wait until OU gets a hold of them. Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted September 27, 2010 Super User Posted September 27, 2010 Don't insult all fans. I don't expect any good team with a youngster stepping in as QB to lead them to a title. I have said this too many times, there never has been a freshmen or sophmore to ever win a BCS title starting a QB. I believe Tebow was 9-4 his first year as a starter even with playing time coming off the bench as a freshmen. You see what happened to OU with Landry Jones taking over last season with Bradford going down. Hookem Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted September 27, 2010 Super User Posted September 27, 2010 You see what happened to OU with Landry Jones taking over last season with Bradford going down. Yep, awesome moments followed by some, "What the heck was that?" moments. Texas will probably lose 3-4 games this year and be top 10 again next year. Although I hope OU makes a run at the BCS title, I could see Nebraska winning the Big 12 title this year against OU or Texas. Quote
Super User Root beer Posted September 27, 2010 Super User Posted September 27, 2010 Alabama had a sophomore QB to lead them to a national title in 1992. Of course it wasn't called BCS back then, but he was youngster. ;D Quote
Super User Sam Posted September 28, 2010 Super User Posted September 28, 2010 I think UT was looking ahead to the Red River Rivalry and did not take UCLA seriously. UCLA got their butts handed to them the week before and had something to prove. Texas plays UCLA 10 times and the Longhorns prevail 9 times. Isn't college football great!!!!! Quote
