Super User .dsaavedra. Posted September 22, 2010 Super User Posted September 22, 2010 is it just me or does he not appear to have safety gear attached to the tower most of the time (except on breaks)??? Quote
ROCbass Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 is it just me or does he not appear to have safety gear attached to the tower most of the time (except on breaks)??? Yeah, in the video they mention that he's freeclimbing most of the time. That means no safety gear. I honestly think that's the only part I would have a problem with. I think I could do it, but no way am I going up there without being attached to something. Quote

nick76 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I found myself sitting at my desk around the seven minute mark with my hind quarters clenched so tight you would have thought I was on that tower with him! That is unreal. I am surprised his arms didn't fall off after that climb. Quote
aceman387 Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I wonder if that thing sways in the wind as your climbing it. I would hate to get up near the top and start getting stomach cramps. Quote
Super User .dsaavedra. Posted September 22, 2010 Super User Posted September 22, 2010 oh, i didn't have my speakers plugged in until he was almost at the top and i realized there might be some audio i was missing. that's crazy he was free climbing that whole time!!!!!!!!!!! my arms would be so weak and wobbly i wouldn't be able to keep a grip on anything i'd be so nervous!!! Red Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 There is nothing you could give me to make me do that. Nothing, no amount of money, a ten pounder guaranteed everytime I cast a line till the day I die...nothing. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted September 23, 2010 Super User Posted September 23, 2010 That's what was so great about the pony express, no climbing necessary. Quote
