Super User firefightn15 Posted September 13, 2010 Super User Posted September 13, 2010 Just got a phone call from one of my vendors and found myself invited to an expense paid meet the players dinner at Lambeau. Apparently it's a meet and mingle with mostly bench warmers and rookies, dinner, and autographs. It's looking like a good week though I'm not sure why they would want my autograph. 8-) Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 13, 2010 Super User Posted September 13, 2010 I think they want you to bring the cheese & crackers... : Quote
Super User CWB Posted September 13, 2010 Super User Posted September 13, 2010 I'm with R.W. Gotta be the cheese! Quote
lsufan334 Posted September 13, 2010 Posted September 13, 2010 Well you might get to meet Matt Flynn. I met him when he was at LSU he is a pretty cool guy. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted September 13, 2010 Super User Posted September 13, 2010 If you get to meet John Kuhn (fullback), tell him you know someone who played for IUP (me). He was there about two years after I left. He went to Shippensburg for college. Trust me, he will know what IUP is. ;D Quote
Super User slonezp Posted September 13, 2010 Super User Posted September 13, 2010 Sorry you have to endure such torment. Where should I send the flowers. Da Bears! Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted September 13, 2010 Super User Posted September 13, 2010 Ask if any of 'em can get me Vikings tickets... Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted September 14, 2010 Author Super User Posted September 14, 2010 I got a (66) Ray Nitschke throw back jersey for X-mas last year, think I'm taking it along. I'm pretty sure Ray wont be able to sign, but who knows who might show up. FWIW Kent, I think I'm leaving the cheese platter at home for this one. I'll definitely check on the availability of Viking tickets and this IUP thing though. Quote
Super User firefightn15 Posted September 15, 2010 Author Super User Posted September 15, 2010 Wow, last night was pretty awesome. There was a quite a lineup up of first year Packers and rookies..... Bulaga is huge, that's all I'm saying. Burnett is my new hero, he seemed pretty reserved and somewhat humble. I think he's gonna shine for the Pack. Masthay was punting footballs all over the atrium and Harrell (QB)......I dunno, I hope his passing is better on the field than it was in front of Curly's Pub. 43 years old, 1 1/2 hrs from Lambeau. and only my second time there. Man I gotta get out more! 8-) Sorry Speed, Kuhn was no where to be seen. Oh, and the beer was on the house. How sweet is that! ;D Quote
