SDoolittle Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 It looks like JMU and OU had a pretty good day, huh? Quote
Super User Dan: Posted September 12, 2010 Super User Posted September 12, 2010 Madison, James Madison! We are the Dukes of JMU! The battle to be the best team in Virginia has one less contender... Oddly enough, most of the remaining contenders are FBS teams! Where is 5bl?!? What's next for the cHokies? Quote
preach4bass Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Go Dukes!!! The Pirates are going to take care of the Hokies AGAIN next weel!!! Quote
Super User Root beer Posted September 12, 2010 Super User Posted September 12, 2010 I fell out of my chair when I saw the score..Holy crap! haha. Congrats to JMU. Quote
Super User Tin Posted September 12, 2010 Super User Posted September 12, 2010 Boise St. must hate JMU right now. lol Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted September 12, 2010 Super User Posted September 12, 2010 V-Tech will still win the weak ACC and be in the BCS. BSU already used V-Tech to get solidified in the rankings, so they're probably happy for JMU. That being said, Montana will run JMU over in the playoffs. ;D Go Griz! Quote
Super User Dan: Posted September 12, 2010 Super User Posted September 12, 2010 Yeah Tin, if I were Boise State I'd be hating on JMU also. Pfft. Montana is a joke. They have a new coach. A CAA team will crush them AGAIN. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted September 12, 2010 Super User Posted September 12, 2010 Pfft. Montana is a joke. They have a new coach. A CAA team will crush them AGAIN. Harsh... after yesterday's game maybe I should say that Cal Poly will take care of JMU. Quote

When they beat JMU two years ago there were 4 teams from the CAA that would have beaten them 9 out of 10 times. Quote

You get pretty excited over JMU, so this could be fun if Montana makes their usual run to the playoffs and they happen to play each other. I'm not quite sure what formula you used to determine that 4 other teams from the CAA would have beaten them 9 out of 10 times, but that's evidently one heck of a conference. Best of luck on an undefeated run to the championship. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted September 13, 2010 Super User Posted September 13, 2010 So because Cal Poly beat Montana, they will "take care of JMU." Not sure I get that one. The "formula" I used was that Richmond beat Montana pretty easily the year they played in the NC. Richmond finished 3rd in the CAA South that year. Having seen each team play at least twice each I'd say it's a fair bet that UNH, JMU, 'Nova, and Richmond would all have beaten Montana 9 out of 10 times. Heck, JMU gave them 4 turnovers and a second string QB and they STILL almost came back to win. That was the 1 in 10, unfortunately for JMU it happened at the worst time possible. The CAA is undoubtedly the best conference in FCS football. They sent at least 4 teams to the 16 team playoffs for the last few years. Quote
