ROCbass Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 What is everybody expecting from their favorite NFL team this year? I'm a Bills fan and although they've been disappointing for a decade, I'm optimistic that this is the year they start to turn things around. Chan Gailey seems to have brought a new winning attitude to the team, and the offense looks vastly improved based on the preseason. I was disappointed with the Spiller pick at first because running back was not an area of need, but he appears to be a game changer and could be the difference in a couple of games this year. The D will probably have a tough time transitioning to the 3-4, but they should improve every week. Although I would love to predict a playoff berth, realistically I think they are still a year away. That said I honestly think that an 8-8 or 9-7 record is a possibility for this team. Quote
endless Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Hopefully my 49ers do something this year and take our division. It's there to be got! Quote
soccplayer07 Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I'm a skins fan. I think baltimore and green bay will do very well this year... Quote

That said I honestly think that an 8-8 or 9-7 record is a possibility for this team. 8-8 might be a reach this year. The other AFC east teams have won the division or made the playoffs the last three seasons. If the Bills do not at least split their games against NE,NY,Mia they will probably have a losing record. I think the Bills will go 6-10. Spiller is a great talent, and he will definitely add some excitement, but he cannot win the games himself. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 7, 2010 Super User Posted September 7, 2010 Being a Brown's fan , I'm looking for five wins again , anything above that will be gravey. Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 7, 2010 BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 7, 2010 Being a Seahawks fan, I don't know what to expect, but I'm not expecting much. They've pretty much wiped out the entire organization and replaced them with new blood. As of this morning, there's maybe 25 returning players from the original 53-man roster of last year, and more may be on the chopping block. 18 of 20 coaches have been replaced, and several key positions in the front office have been replaced. A total and aggressive overhaul, even by NFL standards. So a rebuilding year it is. I don't expect an instant championship. But hopefully they'll be more competitive this year, if not next. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted September 7, 2010 Super User Posted September 7, 2010 Hopefully I can actually show my face as a Dolphins fan again. Although I don't have my hopes up for anything spectacular, the potential is there for a playoff run. Miami just needs to figure out what players might actually work well in the secondary. Quote
bmadd Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 As a Titans fan all I'm really asking for is not another 59-0 defeat. I don't think CJ will get 2k yards. It's clear to every other team in the NFL and every arm chair quarterback that he is what the offense is based around. Key on him for 20+ carries a game and they should be able to limit him. That being said, Vince Young is looking better and Nate Washington showed that he might be the receiver they signed him to be last year. There is a lot of young talent on the team so I'm optimistic. I think the Ravens will have a great year. There defense will stay stout and they have added a lot of weapons offensively. The Texans I think will be a surprise team this season as well. I predict Arian Foster will be the Offensive Rookie of the Year. Regardless, I'm excited! Quote
Super User Tin Posted September 7, 2010 Super User Posted September 7, 2010 The Ravens are going to surprise everyone, one hell of an offense and they got better yesterday. As for the Pats...I will be happy with 9 wins. They are going up against 7 out of the top 10 QB's in the league this year and are facing the much improved Fish and Jets 4 times. I would not be surprised if they finished at 500 or less. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted September 7, 2010 Super User Posted September 7, 2010 Cowboys fan here. Im hoping Dallas can go all the way to play the super bowl with home field advantage, but they've looked confused on both sides of the ball and the starters haven't scored alot. I'd be happy with a divisional playoff win and an appearance in the NFC Championship, but who doesn't want there team to go all the way? I also think the Texas may be a sleeper pick, Matt Shaub is a beast. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted September 7, 2010 Super User Posted September 7, 2010 GO BRONCOS! Low expectations: 7-9 Quote
Jake. Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Chargers: Great regular season, first round bye, lose their first playoff game. Same as every year. : Quote
Scorcher214 Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 WOOOOHOOOOO LIONS! rofl.... i live in michigan but im not really a lions fan, I'm not really a fan of any team. I like watching ceartin players play is all. Like AP, Chirs johnson, Holmes, and a few others. Quote

Red Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 I think Dallas is going to do well. If Romo can play a bit more consistently I think they might just pull it off. ;D Quote

bmadd Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 LOL! I could see the Packers making it to the NFC championship game. If I had to bet now I would say it would be Packers vs Saints. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted September 8, 2010 Super User Posted September 8, 2010 Hope my Phins can get at least to 9-7! Superbowl Prediction New Orleans vs. Ravens NFC Championship Game Packers vs Saints AFC Championship Game Ravens vs. Colts Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted September 8, 2010 Super User Posted September 8, 2010 I think the Dolphins will have a good year, with about 8-9 wins Quote
FordNFishinLover Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 Im calling it: Packers vs Ravens for superbowl. You always have had to keep a eye on the ravens. They always seem like a tough team even if their record doesnt show it. I'm personally a packers fan, an we are looking fatastic. Our drafts will really help. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted September 8, 2010 Super User Posted September 8, 2010 Hope my Phins can get at least to 9-7! Superbowl Prediction New Orleans vs. Ravens NFC Championship Game Packers vs Saints AFC Championship Game Ravens vs. Colts Have to say these are the wisest picks at this point. I'm a big Skins fan, but I'm thinking more than 9 wins is pretty unlikely. Just to be different, I'm predicting a Vikings v Chargers. Quote
flippin and pitchin Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 I like the Baltimore Colts to go all the way. What's that honey? They moved ? Shula retired? Never mind. :-[ Quote
