bmadd Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 That's possible man Speed. Here in TN Dove Hunting is a huge thing. In some places it's like a combination of a keg party/back-yard bbq/skeet shoot. I know of a few shoots in my county that normally have around 20 people. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted September 7, 2010 Super User Posted September 7, 2010 Well dam, I'm hunting in the wrong area. ;D Shoot on then!! Quote
Super User South FLA Posted September 8, 2010 Author Super User Posted September 8, 2010 Yeah, Dove hunting down South is a HUGE affair,, even grandmas come out and make a pinic of it, love that sweet tea!! Quote
SDoolittle Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 I think there were 17 people with us. Quote
Josh. Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 We got 50 on opening day... not too bad Quote
Mattlures Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 I got 11 on the opener and I went back one more time and got 19. The first day I had to help a few guys get their limit so I am not realy sure how many I got. we had 6 guys each time. Dove hunting is fun but its a long drive for me so I am done untill our 2nd season Quote
bowfish12 Posted September 8, 2010 Posted September 8, 2010 We toted out over 400 opening day. Everyone got their limit. You were hunting with 26 other people for doves? Yea, it was a private sunflower field. He spends quite a bit a money on getting it set up each year and only hunts it twice. The birds poured in every 10 minutes or so. You might see 4 or 5 and then there would be 80-100 working the field for the next 10 minutes, and it would just keep doing that the whole time. We quit shooting at 5 and by 5:20 there was close to a 1000 birds in the field. Quote

Bingo, we didn't have a keg but did have some grey goose. Everything else was included. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted September 8, 2010 Super User Posted September 8, 2010 Flying rats! I can't stand them. I've got a bunch of ducks on my lake I'd love to see removed also. Stupid things keep poopin all over my rear patio. Quote

Stupid things keep poopin all over my rear patio. agreed. i did see a redtail hawk swoop down and pounce on one this summer. that alone would have been amazing, but what happened next was simply incredible. a ferral cat came out of nowhere and snatched it away from the hawk. if only i had a video recorder. simply amazing.
