trevor Posted August 31, 2010 Posted August 31, 2010 Any hockey fans on here? Whats your team? Who do you believe will actually win the cup this year?(don't just say your team) I'm a die hard Flyers fan, and I think Philly can go all the way this year. Quote
Super User Tin Posted August 31, 2010 Super User Posted August 31, 2010 Bruins fan here, so I hate you. lol I wish it was further away though. Need more conditioning time still, the hills around campus are still kicking my *** and my $600 Graf's haven't gone on sale yet. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted August 31, 2010 Super User Posted August 31, 2010 I'm an orange bleeding Flyers fan. Hockey rules, best sport there is. It's a fact, look it up : Quote
Super User Tin Posted August 31, 2010 Super User Posted August 31, 2010 I was almost happy last year when the Flyers came back to beat the B's. I got to meet Laviolette a few times when he was a player in Providence with the AHL. When he became Providence's head coach he turned them into a 50 win team and a Calder Cup winner, the year before they won 20 games. So when he didn't get the head coaching job in Boston when it was open people went BS around here. Then he goes on to Long Island and takes them into the playoffs both years after a decade of loosing. Then wins a cup in Carolina and turns the bottom seeded Flyers into a Cup contender. I'm sure he will win a few more Stanley Cups before his coaching career is over. Just hopefully not with Philly. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted September 1, 2010 Super User Posted September 1, 2010 Truth be told, we were extremely lucky to get as far as we did last season. The Boston series was one for the ages. Bringing in Laviolette was the best thing they could have done. Hopefully we'll have another good year. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted September 1, 2010 Super User Posted September 1, 2010 LETS GO CAPS! 8-) I think they can go all the way this year. Quote
Super User Sam Posted September 1, 2010 Super User Posted September 1, 2010 Flyers rule. OK, so they don't exactly rule but they are my team. Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted September 1, 2010 Super User Posted September 1, 2010 100% a Caps fan.... Will they take the cup this year, they have the talent. But unless Mike Green and Alex Semin figure out how not to disappear when things matter most, and as a team how to play playoff hockey they won't... Quote
adclem Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Even after their meltdown in the playoffs last year I am still a die hard BRUINS fan!! I am hoping they make up for last years meltdown this year!! Later, Quote
Captain Obvious Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Do I think that my Stars are going to win the cup, Nope. But I think we will make a run at making the playoffs. Lots of young kids with bright futures so their going to be fun to watch in a few years. GO STARS!!!! Quote

Lots of young kids with bright futures so their going to be fun to watch in a few years. GO STARS!!!! So what it is worth? If I go to Traverse City in a couple of weeks to watch the Red Wings training camp, tie up Madano, pack him in a crate with some straw, a little lettuce, and a few bottles of water, and ship him BACK to Dallas..... So what's it worth? ;D Quote
Skunked in DR Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Leafs fan here. Do I think they'll win the cup - not a chance Do I think they'll make the playoffs - outside shot Quote
NateFollmer Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 Go PENS! I actually like the Caps too, only because the Hershey Bears moved in with them GO BEARS! Quote
trevor Posted September 1, 2010 Author Posted September 1, 2010 Go PENS! I actually like the Caps too, only because the Hershey Bears moved in with them GO BEARS! I hate you. Caps don't have the defense to win the cup. Quote
NateFollmer Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 I agree with you on that one but there are so many more good players that crosby can leave Quote
trevor Posted September 1, 2010 Author Posted September 1, 2010 I agree with you on that one but there are so many more good players that crosby can leave Yeah Malkin TORE UP last year Crosby = Quote
Super User Tin Posted September 2, 2010 Super User Posted September 2, 2010 I can't stand either but... Crosby = 1 Stanley Cup Ovi = Early playoff exit Quote
The one that got away Posted September 2, 2010 Posted September 2, 2010 Another BRUINS fan here. Tough ending for us last year. I think Rask got burnt out in the playoffs. Hope he can carry us this year, but I wouldn't be looking to get rid of Thomas soon. He can still play when he's on. But Savard can go if we can get close to equal value for him. Nice to see Franklin boy Laviolette have some success. I skated at the Franklin rink back in the 70's and now coach my son there. Where are all the Blackhawk fans? I was glad to see them end their drought, although that can't compare to the Red Sox pre-2004. October 27 2004 was quite a night. Bottom line...can't wait for the pucks to drop. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted September 2, 2010 Super User Posted September 2, 2010 Lets go Panthers....... ..... ..... Quote
Daddyodo Posted September 7, 2010 Posted September 7, 2010 Love the freaking CAPS but not sure they have the D :'( Last years play off loss to Montreal should have gotten the attention of Management to upgrade D but alas they did not notice. By the way did I mention that we lost to the worst offensive team in the playoffs :'( How does that happen? Anyway C.A.P.S CAPS CAPS CAPS!! :D Quote
