find a name to this number 812-470-6769

Who ever it is, text my son's phone with a perverted message >:(

I found the location but would love to have a name to it also, if ya can get it for me you can pm it to me, all I plan on doing is calling them up and letting them know I know His/her name and Im going to the police station Monday morning and showing this sexually perverted message text from your phone to my 12yr old son's phone :)

either way Im calling them and dealing with it, just would like to have a name if I can. We don't know this number, and Im short tempered on the pervs!

Just seeing if anyone has access to this kind of info. A detective would be nice right now!

I hate perverts  >:( I hope he go's to jail and has to post a sign in front of his residence saying he's a perv!

And I don't know the number, but when you take it to the police, cant they just join with the phone companies to get they're info? Or have I been watching too much CSI  8-)

The cops can find out who owns the phone number but that doesn't necessarily mean that is the person who sent it.  I say that because I don't want you to find the person's name and get yourself in trouble.  Let the cops deal with it.

I'm not sure if its the possibly the same situation or not but a couple of weeks ago I received a phone call I wasn't happy with. The caller ID said it came from one employee when it was actually sent from another employee. I found this out after putting my Magnum PI skills to work. As it was, the phone call was made with the help of a web site that tagged the unsuspecting employee's phone number to the actual phone call. It wasn't very funny. >:(

Someone could have misdialed also.  Disable your son's text messaging capabilities and move on.

there are services that allow you to make a call but use a totally different number than the one youre calling from. it could of been anyone from anywhere... :-/

When I had a cell(got tired of it and threw it in the trash), I had a very nice young lady send me a pic by accident. I called her and told her that she was a lovely young lady, but I was happily married, and if I wanted to stay that way, she needed to talk to my wife and explain the mix up to her. By the way she sounded on the phone, she is still digging that hole to hide in,lol.

I don't know what was said, but what if it a female from his class?

x2. Im 15 so i know first hand about "sexting" lol. Its not uncommon now-a-days. It could very well be a girl from class.

Nope, and already addressed it, not much you can do about it it looks like

It was a text that was random, and Gay in context also, its up to me how far to take it.

What phone does your son have? A lot of the newer Samsungs can block texts and calls from certain numbers. Look in the address book settings for blocked numbers or also look in the phone settings.

Had something similar happen to my wife's phone. A buddy of mine works in law enforcement and we had him call the number and give them one warning not to do it again. Amazing how that works. Just call your local police.

Call the police. You do not want to find them. If you are anywhere near as protective a father as me, (and as lucky) they will turn up to be someone pretty darned close to you and you will feel compelled to go pay them a visit. Nothing good will come from talking to them.

Let the police talk for you. They can track them down and deliver the message for you.
