Sadly as well we don't have one in Caroline county (Bowling green). Man they would be great here with their deliveries. Nothing out here does that, even the the China Inn. Roma;s is great also but no deliveries and the price is high. I don't dare eat at our Pizza Hut. So when I want pizza I either go to Ladysmith for the Domino's or Fredericksburg for Sam's Pizza and Sub. The one on lafayette by JJ's billiards. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted August 17, 2010 Super User Posted August 17, 2010 Just like we can't get real Southern BBQ here in the Mid Atlantic, you can't get good pizza anywhere else but here. And even then you have to know where to go, as there are pizza places every mile here and most are pretty bad. I don't care for chain restaurants period. One exception I found is in Ft. Lauderdale. There's a place called Anthony's. They cook theirs in coal fired ovens at some ridiculous temperature but they are gooood. Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted August 17, 2010 Super User Posted August 17, 2010 Don't you guys have Round Table Pizza? That is my favorite chain pizza here in California. Locally it has to be either Mama Mia's Pizzeria, Manga la Pizza (local restaurateur flew in a pizza oven, ingredients and even the pizza makers from Italy, place rocks!) andthen there's Pizza Rustica. Best margherita pizza I've ever had. During my recent trip to Boston I went to this little place in North side that was just awesome. Forgot the name though... Quote
Super User Dan: Posted August 17, 2010 Super User Posted August 17, 2010 Move to Chicago and get some real pizza. That isn't pizza. :-/ Please elaborate. I'm curious to what you think real pizza is. Unless you're from the NY,NJ area you have nothing to back your comment. Even if you were from NY,NJ you still don't have a leg to stand on. The Chicago "pizza" I've seen on TV looks more like a form of lasagna than pizza IMO Quote
tholmes Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Move to Chicago and get some real pizza. That isn't pizza. :-/ x1,000. That's a casserole. Tom Quote
Super User J Francho Posted August 17, 2010 Super User Posted August 17, 2010 Local places, Brooklyn Joe's for NY style, Salvatore's, Guida's. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted August 17, 2010 Super User Posted August 17, 2010 Best pizza I've ever had was not in Chicago, New York, but........MIAMI, that's right Miami, go figure :-/. http://andiamopizzamiami.com/ Try it out if you guys are ever down this way. I use to like Godfather's before they went bankrupt, but its pretty hard to beat Papa Johns. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted August 17, 2010 Super User Posted August 17, 2010 Major Chain: Papa Johns Otherwise, Big Cheese down here. Or Casola's Pizza on 17th in Miami. That place is ridiculously good. Quote

Tom Chicago "Deep Dish" pizza is really not pizza in my book, it is a spin on Pizza. It really should be called "Ike's Chicago Casserole" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EK3in28xOY4 Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted August 17, 2010 Author Super User Posted August 17, 2010 lol, anybody like Chuckee Cheese?! ;D Hahahahaha just kidding! Quote
SuskyDude Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I picked Pizza Hut. When it comes to fast-food pizza you can't beat that greasy pile of crap. It's not even pizza to me really, but it's good for a hang-over. I prefer a thin crust, NY, old world style pie. In my 'hood, it's gotta be Consol's. Thin crust > deep dish. Sorry Chicago, we know you're trying. : Quote
Super User slonezp Posted August 18, 2010 Super User Posted August 18, 2010 No doubt...Dominos with their Philly Cheese Steak Pizza!! That doesn't sound even the least bit appetizing. It's hard enough to find a good philly. Why would anyone want to destroy a sacred sandwich? Quote

Nick94 Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 dominoes are to bready and under cooked, pizza hut is just discusting, and i never had papa john's. Local, family owned pizza places are the BEST handsdown Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted August 18, 2010 Author Super User Posted August 18, 2010 If you live in the Dale City area of VA Brother's Pizza makes a good pie! Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted August 18, 2010 Super User Posted August 18, 2010 I'm out of it as I have a client who owns a pizza place. Great pizza with their own special garlic sauce. Now to the vote, I had to be the lone person so far to vote for Little Ceasers. I have to make sure the Ilitch family can afford to trade Madano away from the Red Wings as soon as possible! ;D Quote

llPa1nll Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I voted for I just like Pizza. I try and stay away from the big chains as much as possible. Their product is usually a weak facsimile of pizza anyway. Granted I havent tried any of the major chains in awhile because I think the local places do a better job. Just my 2 cents... Quote
SMfisher Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 I voted just like pizza, the two pizza chains that i like are in wv haven't found one near where i live now. they are Gino's and Giovanni's. I make my own pizza couple times a week, have been making my own a little over 30 years. Quote
