trevor Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 I used to be (and still am a little) an airgun junkie. About your Airgun.... + Break in the gun for AT LEAST 500 shots, preferably 1000. Just use open sights at this time. + Use a scope MEANT FOR AN AIRGUN. Due to the unique spring recoil of an airgun, airguns will eventually ruin scopes that are made for rifles. Or cheap scopes. You can use an Airgun scope on a rifle, but you CAN NOT use a rifle scope on an airgun. Most scopes that come with an airgun are crap, although there are some exceptions. My suggestion is go to Pyramid Air's website, and buy a Leapers scope that fits your needs. You will be AMAZED. Also buy QUALITY AIRGUN mounting system for the scope. This can be done for about $90, and will save you so much frustration! + Purchase high quality Airgun pellets. Some good ones are RWS, Crosman Premiers, H+N, and JSB. AVOID DAISY AND GAMO PELLETS AT ALL COSTS! My personal favorite pellets are RWS Meisterkugeln. + Clean your gun's bore frequently, and use air chamber oil in the air chamber. Hope this helps! Quote
