Super User bilgerat Posted August 9, 2010 Super User Posted August 9, 2010 Young catfish? That's my guess. As for the snake, water snake? Quote
Super User slonezp Posted August 10, 2010 Super User Posted August 10, 2010 I prefer my catfish deep fried. Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 catfish and copperhead snake..as best we can tell some say brown water snake but when we looked it up most of the pics we saw resembled a copper head.. Quote
B-Dozer Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Could be wrong, but I think it is a Northern Water Snake. They come in many different colors and will catch fish better than most people Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 yep could be.. i looked it up and very similar... Quote
B-Dozer Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Looks too big for a copperhead, looks close to 5 ft. long right? Quote
Super User J Francho Posted August 10, 2010 Super User Posted August 10, 2010 The fish looks like a catfish of some sort. The snake looks like a Colubrid of some sort, probably a corn snake, since their patterning is highly variable. Its not a copperhead, that's for sure, head shape is all wrong for a pit viper. Quote

Fully agree. The head is the wrong shape for a Copperhead. The fish looks like it could be a catfish like previously mentioned. Or it may be a young carp as well. Quote
brushhoggin Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 definitely a catfish. all carp have scales right? Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Cool pic. channel cat and a Northern water snake. Quote
