A collector shelled out $28,341,909 for a chair today. Yes, a chair. The estimate for the piece was between $2,587,711 - $3,881,567, about $25 million below what someone actually paid.   :-?

I thought maybe it was going to be the "chair" Elvis died on.

Yeah, there are a lot of idiots out there - why I have even heard of people paying $18 - $40 for a crank-b....Oh, wait - never mind!

The chair was probably bought by someone who sells $18 - $40 crankbaits... ;D

That just proves that idiots are in all parts of society , even the well to do.

There is an *** for every seat. Literally, in this case.

If that chair was in my house right now, I would probably take it out to throw away. 28kk, I have no idea what happened there...

Let's put it into perspective.  If this was paid for one chair, imagine the rest of the collection.  ;)

I know why it costs so much, it's the Mastodon tusks on the sides and the genuine Mastodon leather....

Robert's been busy in his workshop :D

Is farting acceptable with other people in the room if you do it in a 28million dollar chair?
