Super User Root beer Posted July 30, 2010 Super User Posted July 30, 2010 Redline's post about collectible stuff got me thinking. I have a paper currency and coin from Iraq with Saddan Hussein's picture on it. I wonder if sometimes in the future if this kind of thing would be of value? Anyone got an idea? I just kind of thought somewhere in future someone might be collecting a dictator's stuff...lol. Quote
SDoolittle Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 I hope it's worth something someday. I have a ton of it. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted July 30, 2010 Super User Posted July 30, 2010 Probably not worth much in your lifetime. Quote
Jake. Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 I've got a 5 Reichsmark coin from 1937 with a Swastika on it. I don't pick it up much, you never know, Hitler might have used it..... Quote
Super User Raul Posted July 30, 2010 Super User Posted July 30, 2010 As collectible as toilet paper now, in 500 years, yeah, probably it 's going to be worth something. Quote
Super User bilgerat Posted July 30, 2010 Super User Posted July 30, 2010 If it's got Hussein's face on it, use it as toilet paper. Quote
Super User Bassn Blvd Posted July 31, 2010 Super User Posted July 31, 2010 You have the old Dinar's. The old ones were phased out when Hussein fell and are worthless. The new Dinars can be purchased for about $800 U.S for 1million Dinar. Quote

SDoolittle Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 My Grandfather had a cigar box full of Confederate money. It disappeared after his death. I'd like to know which one of my relatives snatched it and what it was worth. Quote
