I used to play it quite a bit.

I always ended up getting shot...a bunch.

People always complained about how bad it hurt, but when you are in a huge shoot-out and your adrenaline is going, you sometimes don't notice when you've been hit.

I miss playing.

yeah i actually played alot a few years ago had to quit because me and my wife had our first child. I actually used to play tournament paintball. I started playing local tournaments and ended up traveling all over the u.s. playing from LA to Chicago. We were a PSP divison 2 x-ball team from Wetumpka named Team Shiver. I also played for another team from here in bama named L.A. SWAT. It is a great sport but be careful it is very very addicting. Way worse than fishing. Here are some vids.

I have been shot in both of those regions.  I have to say that there isn't anything that compares to taking a paintball in the knuckles on a cold day.  That feels extra good.

I did get shot in that face once without wearing my mask.  By brothers Tipmann went off accidentally and it hit me almost point blank, an inch under my right eye.  Lucky.

Yea, I used to play competitively as well back during and just after college.  Always had a great time and I miss it now, but I'm not as young and recuperative as I used to be.

i used to want to get into it, and just recently i wanted to get into it again, but i think its too expensive of a hobby for me to be taking up right now before i go off to college... sure does look like fun though. i think it'd be awesome to get some buddies together and play out in the woods till your entire shirt is covered in paint hahahaha.

I work at Dick's Sporting Goods. We just sold a Tippman Custom 98 AND an A-5 for $90 total. They were display models but in full working order.

Anyway, I played a few times. I liked the big outdoor courses with forts and what not. The field stuff with blow up barricades and crap never really seemed all that fun to me.

That is basically how we used to do it.  We have an old barn on our property that people would hide in.  It was always really fun to go try and get them out.

Ever had a time when you were wearing a mesh mask and got shot on the part of the mask over your mouth? That paint stuff tastes pretty nasty!

Yes it is very addicting. I used to play PSP 5 man for Virgina Beach Reign when i was in the navy. I spent a lot of money playing then i got married and the paintball fund disappeared. If i spent that money on fishing gear i would have more stuff than the pros.

Played two years Collegiate Paintball, won both Championships both years. First West Coast school to ever win a Paintball Championship. Let alone two years in a row.  Anyone who has played collegiate paintball knows the school UCI :), played a little PSP and NPPL, but only cause we got free entry. I miss playing paintball but it was expensive.

As much fun as it is, I wouldn't recommend it if you don't have the income. Just my piece of advice.

I used to play once a week. It was expensive. I had my own fill station, so I made quite a bit back by selling air or trading for paint.

We played strictly woods games. Usually about 6v6 on 40acres. Lots of fun. I dont like speedball, at all. We played alot of 10ball too. Now THAT is fun. I had half a dozen Spyders, and a model 98 that i would rent out too. At the time, my Autococker w/a 18inch Boomstick was pretty trick, for woods games. I really really miss it, but it is just too pricey, and I'm not around the group of guys that made it fun. I'll still pull the PGP out and shoot the neighbors cat when it gets in our garage though. ;D

I played quite often until two herniated disc and torn ligaments ended that ;)

We played in the woods with 8-12 man teams in a variation of capture the flag that was all out war.

The funnest game was on a 30 acre island at night in a poring rain ;)

believe it or not after 10yrs of playing i never got shot in the nuts. my pants were too baggy and i always wore a pair of basketball shorts under my pants so that helped too. I have been shot in the neck multiple times and yes that is the most painful place IMO. I also have had my lip cut from shell that made it through my mask. And i have been blacked out by getting shot in the temple about 5ft away. I was going to bunker a guy he swung on me ant 2 shots in the temple later i was out. I folded up like a deer getting shot with a 300 mag. the people on the sidelines thought i had died. haha great times. oh not to mention all the overshooting incidents when psp was still 15 balls per second :D

Ive had pieces of shells come in and cut my face after getting gogged. That sucks. So does the shot in the beans.
