I do a lot of water foul hunting and my mossberg 500 is not my top choice for shooting birds or skeet. But IMO the mossberg 500 is one hell of a gun. It rattles and feels like its going to fall apart. When I got mine I thought it felt cheap. However it is one of the best shotguns I have ever owned. It is dependable. I swear you could run the thing over with a truck, throw it out of an airplane, sink it to the bottom of the the ocean and drag back to shore in the sand and it would still work fine. It has a simple design that is functional. I will never get rid of mine.

Everybody I talked to at least mentioned some kind of light. Too many choices, so little money. ;) Thanks for all the help guys. I'll let you know what I end up with.

Well done Senkoman12.

If you look at lights look at streamlight, fenix, or jetbeam. I have had a couple surefires and they are great lights but for the same cost you can get a much better light in a different brand.

Depending on the set up and the light you choose adding a pressure switch is a nice addition!

I've always wanted one of the pocket carry fenix's (ones that run on AAA's). Inova makes some pretty good lights too.
