1inStripes Posted January 31, 2010 Posted January 31, 2010 Its been since college that I smoked a cigar, so what happened to just using matches? Ever try lighting a cigar with matches in the wind? Virtually impossible on a boat. Torch lighters are almost impossible to blow out so they are great when its windy. Were you using a single match? Quote

I've set a whole book of matches on fire and failed to light a cigar before...Some days you just need a torch. Quote
Super User Root beer Posted February 1, 2010 Super User Posted February 1, 2010 Dan, I put my hand closely around the match. Usually do the trick. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted February 1, 2010 Super User Posted February 1, 2010 I've had people stand in front of me while putting my hand around it, ducked down into my open jacket to shield the match, etc, etc...Sometimes you just HAVE to have a torch when you smoke outside. Quote
