Super User 5bass Posted July 6, 2010 Super User Posted July 6, 2010 Anybody following the NBA free agent market right now? Lebron, Bosh, Wade....all looking to cash in and possibly find a new team. Any guesses where they end up? Lebron - Chicago Wade - Miami Bosh - Either Chicago or Miami I hope the Knicks get someone to dish the ball to Stoudemire or they'll be crying the blues 20 games in. Stoudemire will miss Steve Nash big time. Quote
Nice_Bass Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Please let Lebron join Chicago... Please....Bears may not be so hot this year, and it could be a really long winter. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted July 7, 2010 Super User Posted July 7, 2010 LETS GO HEAT! LETS GO HEAT! LETS GO HEAT! All three to Miami! Ok, all kidding aside, Bosh and Wade in Miami. Lebron either Miami or Chicago. I'd lean more towards Chicago, although the fan in me says, "God that'd be sick if he came to sunny south FLA." Quote
Super User 5bass Posted July 7, 2010 Author Super User Posted July 7, 2010 You never know...we could see Lebron and Bosh resurrecting the LA Clippers. Another scenario would be for Lebron to stay in Cleveland on a 3 year max deal, then go to the Nets when they move to Brooklyn. Quote
Super User South FLA Posted July 7, 2010 Super User Posted July 7, 2010 In Miami with Bosch and Wade, it will be a Dynasty, a DYNASTY! Miami will suddenly become a B-ball town not a fly by night B-ball town, like in the past. The U, Phins, and ............................Marlins..................Panthers might as well give up. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted July 7, 2010 Super User Posted July 7, 2010 I wouldn't go that crazy to say Miami will become a Basketball city. Miami has always been, and probably will always be a football town. Even when the Heat made the run to win the title, football was still the most talked about thing down here. Nature of the beast. Especially with UM quickly climbing back up the college football totem pole. The Marlins...oh god...What a waste of, what, 500 million on that new stadium? I would have rather had the OB rebuilt. At least the Canes draw an audience. They put a baseball park, that has baseball games for the most part at goofy daytime hours, right in the MIDDLE of one of the worst high traffic areas in Dade county. Thats some smart thinking. As much as I enjoy going to Panthers games, short of them making a huge Stanley Cup run, they're just a notch above the Marlins as far as relevance goes. Believe me though, I'm very, very, very willing to see if the town changes with Wade, Bosh, and whoever else playing for the Heat. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted July 7, 2010 Super User Posted July 7, 2010 Lebron is staying in Cleveland. THIS. That's it. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted July 7, 2010 Super User Posted July 7, 2010 Why would he actually stay there though. Sure, he can make some good money, and yet again be stuck on a crap team. Without Lebron, Cleveland would be lucky to win 15 games. Quote
joshuaryan Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Lebron is staying in Cleveland. +1 Otherwise the people of Cleveland will hate him with a passion. Quote
Skunked in DR Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 Cleveland. You don't book an hour of television time to announce you're going somewhere else. Quote
grayAG Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 hope he listens to Betty White and stays in Cleveland. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted July 7, 2010 Author Super User Posted July 7, 2010 Lebron is staying in Cleveland. THIS. That's it. ***I heard the Lebron press conference isn't in Cleveland.*** IF that's true, why would he be holding his press conference somewhere else if he was staying in Cleveland? ***I heard that on Colin Cowherds radio show this morning. He said ESPN sent a whole group of reporters to the Lebron PC but they weren't headed to Cleveland*** Interesting...very, very interesting. Quote
Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted July 7, 2010 Super User Posted July 7, 2010 Aside from it being the whole hometown thing; there is absolutely no reason that he should stay there. Cleveland will struggle against Orlando, Boston, and now Miami. He could hope to be on the fourth best team in the East, even that could be a stretch. With Wade and Bosh announcing their intentions, Miami should probably be the first choice, Chicago second, Cleveland third. Quote
MyKeyBe Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 I hate basketball but he will end up in Chicago. Quote
Fishing Doug Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 My guess is Chicago. Chicago signed Boozer and they still have room to sign a max contract. Quote
tnbassfisher Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 Who's Lee-Bren? ;D The new talk is that he is going to Miami to join what seems to be a "superteam". But I don't see him leaving Cleveland. Quote
Eddie Munster Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 But I don't see him leaving Cleveland. Guess you've never been to Cleveland then...... Just kiddin; Steeler fan who can't resist taking a shot at Cleveland even if it is Basketball. Quote

Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted July 8, 2010 Super User Posted July 8, 2010 Sources are all now saying he's coming down to the MIA. I'm not really sure how good of a thing it really is. If it happens though, it's going to be really fun to watch. Quote

Miami cleared all their decent role players to make room. Where's the other two starters and bench gonna come from? Quote
