I.rar Posted June 23, 2010 Author Posted June 23, 2010 Yeah. Dude shreds. truth. ive been in one of my metal/rock moods since ive been working with a friend of mine that practically only listens to that kind of music. he turned me onto a bunch of bands like made of hate , mors principium est and some others. personally , i think its amazing how people can make a guitar make that many different sounds. these guys are also amazing. not really my type of metal , but yeah... D4u2s0t Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 in some of the songs, can def. hear the hendrix/zeppelin/classic rock influences, but presented in a unique way... pretty cool Quote
Stringjam Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 He can play. I dig his quirky kill-switch stuff. Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted June 23, 2010 Super User Posted June 23, 2010 Found out about Buckethead in high school, man he is one crazy guitarist, probably my all-time favorite. It's crazy how he's stuck to his back-story for so many years, with the exception of the KFC bucket, stupid KFC lawsuit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdBGFNPxcv8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okbJv4SLyGs Quote
Big Tom Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Buckethead is the awesome. The dude has no set style. Quote
dave Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 I watched reluctantly, ready to be disappointed because I am not a metal fan. I REALLY liked it. Like one of the youtube comments said, very fast with a great sense of melody. That's what did it for me, is that it all flowed and made melodic sense on a lot of different levels. Quote
llPa1nll Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Wow there is a name from the past. I saw him open up for Primus and the almighty "Les' years ago. 8-) 8-) 8-) Quote
NateFollmer Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I saw him play on tv with axel rose and they claimed to be GnR, but I think axel was the only original member... buckethead is an awesome guitar player though. He is one of my favorites as well as eric clapton, bb king, john petrucci, and so many more. If you like crazy guitar playing without the heavy stuff and the screaming listen to Dream Theater. Also look into some Finnish Metal like Amorphis (there old stuff is heavy but the newest 3 albums aren't.) Quote

Yeah, he played with Axel for a bit before "Chinese Democracy" when he dropped the rest of GNR, then he dropped them too. Quote
