Red Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 we are going for one month to lose ten pounds. If I win, she has to fish with me anytime I want, evertime I want her to, until she catches a 3lb bass on an artificial bait. If she wins I have to take her to Six Flags for the day. I am NOT a big fan of those type of amusement parks. She has a gym membership, I don't. I was a wrestler and know how to suck weight, she dosen't. ;D Think I can pull it off? Cliff Quote
preach4bass Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 I need a rules clarification: What if you both lose 10 pounds? :-? Oh, and good luck! Quote
Stringjam Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Easily. Atkins diet. You'll probably lose a lot more than 10 lbs. if don't cheat. I lost 5 lbs. a week on it (after the second week). Quote
Red Posted June 9, 2010 Author Posted June 9, 2010 We didn't discuss what happens if we both do it. I will get back to you on that. Also, after we "weigh in" each week, whoever is behind has to do the dishes for that week! Quote
Red Posted June 9, 2010 Author Posted June 9, 2010 Ok, if we both do it then she goes to Six Flags but I don't have to go. I still get to go fishing, but not with her. Sounds like a crap deal to me, cuz I am going to go fishin either way! Quote
NewAngler Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Isn't the Atkins diet, aka the mans diet very unhealthy? Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted June 9, 2010 Super User Posted June 9, 2010 Is this bet fair? It is easier for a 300# person to lose ten than a 150#er. A fair bet would be a percentage of body weight lost. Quote

bwell Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Piece of cake man, I was a wrestler also and people just don't understand how we know how to cut weight... Quote
bigfruits Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 atkins works extremely well. i cheated with a sugar packet for one coffee a day. im pretty sure its unhealthy.i started getting tunnel vision and got dizzy one night about 2 wks in and had to eat some chocolate to feel normal. i switched to a low-carb diet after that. Stringjam Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Isn't the Atkins diet, aka the mans diet very unhealthy? Yes - - but so is being fat. I wanted a diet that worked and worked quickly. I lost 65 lbs. and then started eating a healthy diet to maintain my weight. It worked for me. Quote
Red Posted June 9, 2010 Author Posted June 9, 2010 I guess my only real plan is to start eating better and take my dog for a jog every night. And if I need to I will really try to cut in the final week. I think I can take her! Quote
