Does anyone replace their crankbait hooks with sureset hooks.  I bought about a half a dozen of them because I knew I would use them for something.  Would putting them on my strike king series 3 crankbaits help?  What do you use sureset hooks with?  Thanks everyone

I have some of the rapala dts that came with the sureset hooks. The only thing that i did was i replaced the front treble with a normal treble because i didnt like the way the sureset trable hung so low. I thought that if i put on a normal treble, it would create less hangups on the bottom. So, i would suggest putting them on the tail of crankbaits, but not in the middle or front.

i have a bunch of DT's that came with sure sets on them, but what i like to do is remove the front sureset and swap it with the back hook of a different bait. that way i have a sureset on the back and a regular trebel on the front of almost all of my DT's.

sure set hooks are great, but two on one bait isnt necessary.

Right.Same thing I do if I use them at all on a crank.I cant stand dredging up every single imagineable debri of the bottom with those things.

I like them on the rear of a topwater, and one on the rear of a rattletrap not only looks nice but may help nail those quick slashers.

I'm not a fan of them. I like Owner Stinger ST-41's. They are AWESOMe. 2x strong and the unique cutting point is just that, a CUTTING POINT! When using these hooks, you need NOT set the hook hard, but just sweep the rod sideways quickly. The hooks do ALL the work. Everyone, check those hooks out! I swear by them.
