Top Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 For those of you that know and remember me let me give you an update on me and mine... If I remember correctly in my last "update" I had just recently returned from Iraq and had been promoted to Master Sergeant and was soon to be a First Sergeant... well to say that my job as First Sergeant has been very very time intensive but to be honest its been the best job I have ever had in my life... I run a Maintenance Company of over 275 Soldiers... so as you can surmise I am dealing with more issues than you can poke a stick at... the plus is.. rewarding like you wouldn't believe... the negative is I hardly EVER have time to fish anymore... maybe once a month if I am lucky a week a go Sunday I got out and whacked them got 18 or so to the bank... it killed me not being able to get back out after that but with time restrictions there isn't any way.. maybe next week... speaking of next week.... soon as the flights clear out from the volcano eruption I will be taking my Company back to Iraq... we are doing the retrograde of equipment from there to either back to the US or over to fight in Afghanistan... either way... no fishing... LOL grrrrrr anyways... Please pray for my Soldiers... my one priority is to get them over there and back all in one piece... thanks for all the prayers AL Quote

Super User fishfordollars Posted April 27, 2010 Super User Posted April 27, 2010 I would trade fishing for the business end of a 50 any day. Wish i was a little younger so i could go back and help take a little pressure off the younger guys. Prayers to you and all the other men involved. Keep your head down and the powder dry. Bring them all home alive and in one piece. Good luck, Jack Quote
Super User Matt Fly Posted April 27, 2010 Super User Posted April 27, 2010 You've come along way since your initial screen name. Seems like you've done more than your share, you've been gone way too long. God speed, and thanks for your sacrifices, I do know the price of freedom and separation from loved ones is a tough road to haul and it takes men cut of a certain clothe to get the job done. Thanks Hookem Matt Quote
