Super User grimlin Posted May 11, 2010 Super User Posted May 11, 2010 First off, what kind of vaginia kicks you in a fight? I understand kicking while the man is down, but come on, a kick?! Unless we're talkin' Jakie Chan round house kick, dude is a puss. Personally, I would have laid him the ef out and then spun the story around as self defense. Then, I would have ditched the chick because you can bet your last Tennessee penny this will happen all summer and pick up an older chick at the pool hall; using your badass display of asskickery as a pick up line. Then, I would have bought a smoothie with two straws and an order of french fries to really schmooze the older women into going home with you. Then, I would suggest you take Burleys advice, "hit it, and quit it." This should be the best summer of you life. Summary: Kid kicks you. You whoop him. You send girl with boy. You pick up WOMAN. Woman likes you because you were flippin sweet and shared your smoothie. You give her the last french fry in Gatlinburg. Ride your moped back home, send your parents to the movies. Bada bing, bada boom. This is the best thing I've read on here all year so far. This gets the "best post" award from me.
farmpond1 Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Someone is being played. I'm guessing it's you and the other kid/punk. I'll bet you a bag of plastic worms she's loving every minute of it. Move on.

Agreed... Move on man, the best thing you can do is laugh this off, and tell her to leave you alone. You dont need that kind of drama...
bassnleo Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 The return kick from me would have put her to the curb. I agree with others, your being played. Find someone your age.

Other. Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 There are 2 lessons in this story for you. 1. Walk away when you can. 2. Don't date 17 year old girls. And don't tell me you're just friends. Straight 20 year old men don't hang out with 17 year old girls unless they want something. Even if they are going on 18. : There aint really a problem with a 20 year old dating a 17 year old. Wow 2-3 year difference. It really is not that much.

I have already chased off 2 twenty year olds. Stay away from the young ones my friend, 35 year old women are more fun anyway.
Super User burleytog Posted May 12, 2010 Super User Posted May 12, 2010 For the record, I would worry more if she had older brothers. I can guarantee you that if a 20 year old was "hanging out" with my 17 year old sister, her little high school boyfriends would be the ABSOLUTE LEAST of your concerns. BTW, I don't kick... Find one that is 18 and don't worry about it. You have a 17 y/o sister? Is she hot?
Super User Root beer Posted May 12, 2010 Author Super User Posted May 12, 2010 So, you guys with daughters will chased away a boy immediately tells me two things: 1) You don't trust your daughter's judgment. 2) You do not get a chance to know the guy when he could actually be a nice guy. Interesting. I didn't know the girl's age until end of semester, but only reason why I proceed to continue to see her was because A) she wasn't in high school. she seems nice and everything at the time. I just don't date high school chicks anymore, but if they are out of high school then it is fair game. She told her parents my age and everything. It all cool. Whatever. Again, I honestly wasn't looking at this girl for random fling, I was just hanging out with her because she ASKED me go to Dollywood with her. She is lifeguard at Splash Country and she got me into Dollywood for free. I didn't have anything else planned for the day, so why not? Oh well, whatever. P.S. Going all the way back to my 8th grade year, I have yet to meet a parent that didn't like me.

So if a 17 year old and a 16 year old are dating they have to break up the day before the 17 year old turns 18? By definition, absolutely. Will it happen? Not likely. I am sure there can be a number of "what if's" and "how about this scenario," but in the OP's situation the fact remains that he is a 20 year old and the girl is 17. Where is the line drawn between what is an acceptable age difference and what is not? Only the people involved can make that call and, as I said, they will have to live with the decision and whatever (if any) consequences come from that decision. I will say it again to Rootbeer: Make a choice and live with it. It doesn't matter what our opinions are on the matter.

This time, only two... Anyhow, there are ages of consent in America. THey vary state by state, and some are more than other. They can be found http://www.avert.org/age-of-consent.htm Now this pertains to sexual intercourse, and unfortunatley for our Carbinated Beverage friend, should he have successfully landed this young lady into his Dragon poster pastered walls of his bedroom and done the deed, he would have landed soem jail time. Consent of Sex in Tennessee is 18 and 18. Beverage Boy, want a solution? see my previous post and don't forget to give her the last frenchfry. Super User Hookemdown. Posted May 12, 2010 Super User Posted May 12, 2010 Under T.C.A 39-13-506, if an adult has sex with a minor less than 18 years old, and the adult (anyone older than 18) is at least four years older than the minor, the adult just committed statutory rape, which is a Class E felony, carrying up to six years in prison. I started dating my girlfriend when I was 17 and she was 18. Sure...one year is different than 3, but it's legally the same thing. If her parents are alright with it, and you both have feelings for each other...I see no problem with you starting a responsible relationship with her (if you want...). Ha, funny you say that, Wayne. I don't even think this guy fishes. I've checked his "past 50 posts" teice, and the first time (months ago) there were no bass fishing content. This time, only two... So what? This the everything else section. If you check my posts you'll find the same thing. I still fish, but I'm not active in the fishing sections anymore. Give the guy a break. He was asking advice, not looking for a bashing. Geez...this forum has went downhill.
Super User Root beer Posted May 12, 2010 Author Super User Posted May 12, 2010 hah, I find this thread hilarious. I'm not even trying to "land" her. I just simply hung out with her as friends and her lunatic ex-boyfriend just happen to find out and tried confront me. Jealousy is an ugly thing, even though I wasn't "stealing" her like he claimed. : I didn't know there was a rule where every girl you hang out with you must try to sleep with her too.......Least that what you guys are trying perceive me as. : Far as whether you think I fish or not, I be happy to PM you my Facebook page and you can look at some of my fish pictures in couple albums. I'm regular for another fishing forum that I post all of my fishing advice on. (and those guys will vouch that I indeed fish) I visit here for the off-topic section and read the fishing trip section. Ah well, I'll let this topic die.
