I recently just bought the little scale that isn't digital. It's been around forever. I looked at the lip grip digitals but couldn't justify the difference between $4 and $60 for the scale. However, I'm sure I will end up with the $60 version soon enough. :)

Is it yellow? If so ive got one from BPS on sale for around 3-5 dollars.

Mine is black plastic with an aluminum (silver) face and back. It's probably the same one just a different color.

I've been fishing for 25 years. Thta is the first scale I believe I've ever owned. Makes me wonder how many fish might have weighed more than I thought, or less.

before buying one, i'd recommend reading the user reviews at cabelas and BPS...some are shockingly inaccurate as was my experience with a few. i now have a berkley TEC digital scale and i've tested it extensively and it amazingly accurate and consistent so i highly recommend it. if i didn't already have a lip gripper, i'd have gone with a boga.

Look at cabelas and bps they have some nice scales that are affordable. I personally have a 50lb cabelas digital scale that was $20. Works great except for the hook should be sharper for the fish to hang on. but all in all its a great scale.

Another vote for the Boga Grip.  Besides being precise, it's also very durable and very cool.

Boga Grip not for sale - used almost daily for the last 13 years and still looks new and is as accurate as the day it was certified by the IGFA.

I'm not up on the latest. Just don't skimp and calibrate whatever you get -regularly. I use light dumbell weights.

I've got a Chatillon spring scale. Rather expensive and old technology (20 some years now) -which may actually be a good thing!

What George (and a few others) & Paul said: Chatillon or Boga; Both certifiable by the IGFA and accurate as hell. I use a certified Chatillon myself. Most probably don't want or need this level of accuracy though.
