LCpointerKILLA Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Sitting here on the living room couch, I have given up. Tried the credit card thing, tried the paperclip thing. I guess I will have to pay the 75 dollars to get a new key and switch my lock as well as my room-mates'. This sucks. Any suggestions besides "yeah pay the 75 dollars blah blah blah Hank Hill crap"? CanalStalkin Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 keep tryin' the credit card trick man! If the lock isn't anything special and the deadbolt isn't on it should work. Try a bunch of different angles. And go in as far as you can without losing it. I lock myself out of the garage all the time and I have mastered it LOL. Quote
Super User Sam Posted April 16, 2010 Super User Posted April 16, 2010 Pay the $75 and then carry an extra key with you on yor person, along with an extra car ignition key. Quote

MattinOK Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Door_breaching Most of these methods work quite well. Quote
seyone Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I rip out the metal hook from the folder and use that. Quote
moby bass Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Door_breaching Most of these methods work quite well. Just watched an episode of Lock n Load, with r. Lee Ermey. They were demonstrating the use of Det Cord. It works very well for opening otherwise locked doors ;D Quote
