NewAngler Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I used to make some pretty horrible things while single. Burley's post with his lunch inspired me to start a thread on fattening home made creations.. heres mine; I named it, too. The Heart-Stopper. Two hot dogs, cut up into small peices Two slice of jalepeno cheddar cheese Hogie Roll, maybe two Two baby red potatoes, shredded Butter, a lot. Jalepenos, 2 fresh, diced. Take your potoatoes and create hash browns with a ton of oil and butter added in. take your sliced hot dogs and cook until lightly crisped. jalepenos the same as the hot dogs, butter your hogies, and put them face down on the pan until brown LOAD WITH KETHCUP AND ENJOY. Super User roadwarrior Posted April 13, 2010 Super User Posted April 13, 2010 I love "nasty" food, but just occasionally. Chili topped with sharp cheddar cheese, diced raw white onions, jalapeno peppers and sour creme. Dill pickles and crackers on the side! Then "leftovers". Same recipe, but as the topping for a chili cheese dog! I add relish and mustard to finish off this dish. Chips or tatter tots on the side. 8-) Quote

For the record, I love them so much that I would have used a much stronger word than "freakin'" if given the opportunity and/or permission. ;D Quote

bwell Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I always make a taco dip... Get a nice size pan with about a 1to 1 1/2 inch lip -Put re fried beans on the bottom of the pan -Mix sour cream, cream cheese, and hot taco seasoning together in a bowl. -Spread the mix on top of the re fried beans -take your favorite salsa and spread on top of the sour cream, cream cheese, and taco spread -take shredded cheese (taco mix) and cover the salsa -Put it in the oven till all the cheese melts on top -Take out of oven and load up with your favorite toppings (jalapenos, tomatoes, chives ect..) -let cool for maybe 10 minutes and devour it! stratos 375 Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I went to a party last year where the host was taking hot dogs, dipping them in egg, then breading them and dropping them into a deep fryer. I ate one, probably took a year off my life. Quote

Super User Fishing Rhino Posted April 13, 2010 Super User Posted April 13, 2010 Here ya go. Up here, the "Yankees" not the baseball team made a dessert, most often for Christmas dinner called appropriately enough, "suet pudding". It was topped of with ice cream, whipped cream, and for those who, as Glenn said in the other thread, do not care, both. Yes, it contained plenty of suet. It resembles brown bread. Directions 1.In a large bowl combine suet, raisins, corn syrup, water, baking soda, 1 teaspoon salt, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, flour and baking powder; mix well. 2.Heat batter in a steamer over 1 inch of hot, but not boiling, water. Steam until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. 3.In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine milk, 1 teaspoon salt, butter, sugar and cornstarch. Stir constantly until mixture thickens; stir in vanilla extract. 4.Serve pudding and sauce warm. Quote
