preach4bass Posted April 6, 2010 Author Posted April 6, 2010 I need some tums. Maybe two packs. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted April 6, 2010 Super User Posted April 6, 2010 I almost had to change my pants when Hayward's half court shot hit the backboard at the buzzer. I wish Butler would have won. Quote
frogtog Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 Got to be one of the best games I have seen in a long time. Quote
preach4bass Posted April 6, 2010 Author Posted April 6, 2010 Grab the tissues, it's time for "One Shining Moment." ;D Quote

Super User Dan: Posted April 6, 2010 Super User Posted April 6, 2010 I hate Duke and I'm certainly not a Carolina fan. Quote
preach4bass Posted April 6, 2010 Author Posted April 6, 2010 You know a team is good when they attract so many haters. ;D Regardless of who you wanted to see win this game, it was a great one. In fact, this is one of the best tournaments that I remember. As for the championship game itself, it was tight the whole night, several lead changes, and a last second shot to potentially win the game. I'm glad Duke won, but I have a lot of respect for Butler. I hope their coach stays put and they have more success in the future. But, I sure am glad tonight was Duke's night! Quote
Super User Dan: Posted April 6, 2010 Super User Posted April 6, 2010 You know a team is good when they attract so many haters. ;D Which is exactly hated teams always defend themselves and earns them even more haters. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted April 6, 2010 Super User Posted April 6, 2010 I think Duke draws more hatred than any other team. Perhaps with the exception of Kentucky. Granted, that is a product of winning. As for the tournament as a whole, I have to echo preach's sentiments. Perhaps the best three weeks of madness I can remember. I know all four UT games kept me on the edge of my seat. Quote

The Yankees come to my mind, different sport, but still. My hatred isn't based on winning, it's based on the celebration of poor sportsmanship and the general demographics of the Dukies. Quote
Jake. Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 it's based on the celebration of poor sportsmanship Did you see Coach K after the game? If that wasn't great sportsmanship, then I don't know what is. I think the real "poor sportsmanship" comes from fans that fans that can always find something to complain about when a certain team they don't like wins (I'm not referring to anyone here). Quote

Super User Root beer Posted April 6, 2010 Super User Posted April 6, 2010 It's a shame Butler didn't win, I sure was pulling for them. It truly was an epic game! Quote
TheBeast Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I'm talking about the "Crazies" I like Coach K well enough. There no worse than any other student section. It's more their proximity to the court and their smarter than your average student section. They also actually have planned taunts and script sheets layed out before games and study opposing teams to be as effective as possible. That is why they seem so much worse, they work at it. Quote
scrutch Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I HATE DUKE. > > > > > > Woulda been a MUCH better story if Butler won. Another Carolina fan is on line. ;D lol...nope I like Butler, and whoever is playing duke. Quote
